Me And My Straight Leg

I am so happy I found these jeans on sale! Such a fluke too as I didn’t even know the stores had sent back all their unsold sale merch. Score one for me!

In the time of skinny jeans, which they do were perfectly with boots, and I will continue to wear them, I so enjoy these straight leg jeans from Dish just that much more. Wear them long or cuffed up and rolled, I just heart them.

It wasn’t very toasty out today, so it worked out perfectly that I could wear my new jeans to work with my little black sneakers that I haven’t worn in a while.

I decided to go light and airy today and chose one of my favourite Trinity blouses. The only thing that bugs me about this one is the elastic at the bottom ends up riding up to my waist so I contently have to adjust it. But most tops that have an elastic hem seem to do that on me. Kind of annoying.  The great thing about this blouse is its one of those ‘dress up, dress down’ kind of pieces so you can wear it many different ways.

My hair also seemed to be co-operating today which was greatly appreciated!

It’s No Longer 1985

I got beaked cause I keep wearing my shirts and dresses, off the shoulder. Yea, I know it’s not the 80s anymore, but sometimes it makes a cool top look even cooler, OK!

We went over to Darios for dinner tonight. It was raining which kind of sucked cause it would have been nice to sit outside, but it was a tad on the chill side.

I thought I would try something a bit funky. I’ve worn this knit top once before belted up, but I wanted to try it again in a different setting. This time I belted it at the waist with a brown leather belt,  but folded the top over so that the belt was hidden. I let the belt buckle peek out on my side.

I paired this with my Navy denim leggings and a pair of flip flops (which were subsequently soaked from walking from the car to the front door!).

My wire cuff and silver watch kept the accessories simple, but visible.

I really like how fun this outfit is.

Off the shoulder makes everything look better!

The Colours, They All Go

I had to go to on of our factories today, only I had no car, so Miss Alicia was kind enough to drive me. I even got a photo shoot out of it. Score!

It’s Friday, and I was a freaking stressful morning and a half. I couldn’t calm down from everything until mid afternoon. It was a bit crazy. I ran into a disaster 5 minutes before leaving last night and no one was around to help solve it, so I spent all night panicking over it, and all morning trying to deal with it. I was exhausted by the end of it :(

This outfit is pretty much my current favorite colour combination. Greys and Purples all today. Actually, they are exactly the same as Elise’s wedding colours. Interesting.

I cuffed up my Dish jeans twice instead of the usual once so they would have more of a ‘cropped’ feel. I am now obsessed with Cuffed Straight Leg jeans, to the point where I never want to wear anything else now. Sorry Denim Leggings…

Everything else you know. Aritzia T, Kersh Sweater, Plum Necklace, Birkenstocks.

I am in love with purples and greys.

Summer Time Black

No warehouse today. Told you! Well, tomorrow is the last day it can possibly happen, so at least I know that much. Work is just too busy crazy to spend any time out in the warehouse. That’s my excuse anways. Ha. I hate inventory. I don’t know anyone who actually likes it.

I re-fell in love with my Mavi boyfriend jeans today. How so you ask? Well, I did the very simple thing of rolling up the hem one more time. I KNOW! I thought it would be too bulky, since they are quite long on me and already rolled up a number of times, but it worked, and it looks so much better on my stumpy legs. I should have attempted this long ago.

The other thing I re-fell in love with today is tucking in shirts. I know its been a thing for a while now, but I really, really love it; especially if you have a cool belt to show off.

My black knit T is from Plum, last spring. Its very light and airy which I love on hot summer days. Even though it is black, which is not very ‘SUMMER’ of me, its so comfortable to wear. Since it is a little blousy, I lightly tucked it in at the front to show off my teal YSL belt.

FAVORITE BELT OF ALL TIME

A simple silver necklace and some fun flats and this ‘warehouse’ look ends up being somewhat fashionable!

Black Strawberry

This happens every time. Whenever I am told that I will most likely be spending the day working away in the warehouse, I dress for it, and then never end up making it to the warehouse. This means that tomorrow will have to be the ‘warehouse day’, but I bet you any money it will be postponed until Friday. That means 3 days of non ‘pretty’ outfits, and all I want to do is wear a skirt!

Oh well, what can you do.

I’m really loving these Plum cargo carpi’s this summer. They are so comfy to wear and just fun to putt around in.

I decided to try a different way of layering this Kersh tank. I wore a thicker ribbed tank underneath. Kind of makes it feel every aerobic, or like I’m straight of the army, which I kind of love. I’m fighting the wore on bad fashion.

The seagull necklace is from Urban Outfitters and the wrap leather bracelets are from Plum.

My strawberry hair pin is from Barefoot Contessa.

I now wear every outfit thinking of how it would translate if I brought it to Italy with me. This is definitly one of them!

Sunday in the North

It seems like almost every Sunday we are at the parentals doing something or other. It usually involves Chad washing his car, or me scrapbook pictures from our Honeymoon. Yea, I still haven’t finished that!

Even though I was stuck in the basement working away while Chad was outside enjoying the sun, I still felt like dressing up as if I was going on a Safari.

Friday afternoon, I walked into our warehouse and saw that a bunch of the Summer sale stuff had been returned from the stores. Low and behold, this glorious hat was sitting there, all alone, waiting for a home. I have drooled over this hat all Summer long, but lost my chance to buy it once it went out to all the stores. Since none of the Plum locations are close to wear I live, I never shop in store, so I thought my dream of owning this hat was lost. Well, clearly it was fate, as soon as I saw it, I knew it was meant to be mine!

I LOVE THIS HAT!

Now, if only I actually had room to store all my hats…

To go with my new favorite Hat, I wore another Plum outfit. A charcoal tank top with a pair of green cargo shorts from a couple seasons back.

Leather studded cuff, Birkenstocks, and a silver leaf necklace.

I really should be going somewhere in this outfit.

New Hair for a Zebra

The hair has been cut! It feels so much lighter and has so much more movement. Every time this happens to me, I always have a little bit of a panic attack because it feels like I have no hair left, but in reality it is SO much better! There is no fun in having a giant sack of hair on your head in the middle of Summer!

I spent the morning walking around the city, before and after my haircut. It was so nice to be in Coal Harbour, watching all the tourists, in the warm sun. I don’t often travel down there, but it is such a beautiful part of the city.

Tonight, we celebrate my Dads birthday with a Wine Tasting evening with Friends!

I got creative again. A turquoise tank tucked into a super cute Zebra skirt, both purchased at Plum. I brown belt would have looked great with this outfit, but I didn’t have one, so I opted to pick up the cream colour in the skirt. Gold and Cream Anchor necklace and Flower ring, both from Forever 21. Nude Sandals also worked out well with this outfit.

The close up photo of me looks way to dark and light all at the same time. Kind of awkward.

Cute outfit though! I want to wear it every day!

I’ve been doing this for 200 days!?

That’s a lot of days, and a lot of pictures! Kind of crazy to think about.

It’s taking me a while to get back into the swing of things. Everything seems to be falling apart around me because I ignored so many things while focusing all on helping Elise with the wedding. I feel stressed just thinking about all the things I have to catch up on!

Today’s comfort outfit is brought to you by Dish Jeans, Plum Tank, some random Australian Tank, flip flops, and a key  necklace!

I also enjoy how the placement of my bun makes me look like a boy. Probably should have opted for the Hipster bun and not the Nonna bun.

Tomorrow, I will catch up on everything, and everything WILL be better!

Red as Bricks

The wind came for a visit today. It blew stuff around and made for going the chilly walk to the mall after work. Probably should have brought a jacket. Oh well.

I didn’t really have anything excited planned for my outfit today. The wind kind of ruined any chances of wearing a skirt so I just opted for an old faithful jazzed up with some studded earrings.

Plum Boyfriend Blouse in White
Mavi Serena Denim Leggings in Navy
Spring Gladiator Sandals in Black and Gold
Aldo Large Studded Earrings in Navy

A very simple look, but I like the addition of the sandals and earrings. They make it look totally different!

At The Burwell

A little Saturday evening adventure with my favorite male half breed. He needed some guidance in buying some plants for his deck, so we made the trek to the Depot to spend way too much money on decorative pots and ornamental grasses. I just love Matts style.

The weather is slowly starting to change into Summer, but it’s still not there yet. Pants are still inevitable.

Mavi Serena Denim Leggings in Royal
Plum Tank Top – ugh, I’m so obsessed
Deep V Printed T that I got years ago
Chunky Necklace from Plum
Birks

They keep saying the weather is going to change and that we can finally pull out our Summer wardrobe, but they are always wrong.

I’m really tired of wear Fall stuff in the Summer!
