Hippie Alert

Yea, there is a hippie in the house. I didn’t end up having a shower until late last night, and in not wanting to blow dry my hair until mid night, but at the same time not wanting to go to bed with a giant head full of wet hair, I towel dried and but it in braids, something I haven’t done in years. Usually it comes out quite nice the next day, but today, it was quite the hippie mess.

I haven’t worn this shirt nearly as much as I should. I am promoting 70′s couches. If I actually had a couch like this, I would never give it up.

Now that I have T-Shirts that are long enough to poke out from under it, I like it a lot more. Breaks up all the colours a bit more. I also love this shirt paired with these pants. The Charcoal Mavi Denim Leggings are proving to be way more amazing then I thought they would be. Yea they are extra tight, but they look so awesome with everything I wear.

Today did end up being a total rain disaster, so my hair got weird and I got soaked 15 times. Dammit Vancouver…

I Am Loosing My  Mind

All day long I said to Chad, ‘remember, you have to take a picture of me today’. I don’t know why I just didn’t get him to take a picture instead of reminding him every 5 minutes, but what do you want from me. I am going to admit it, this Blog is starting to become a burden, and I’m almost finished it. This back log of Italy pictures is killing me. Anyways, I washed my face, got ready for bed and then realized I had failed. So I got up, got dressed and shoved the camera in Chads hands!

The Colours, They All Go

I had to go to on of our factories today, only I had no car, so Miss Alicia was kind enough to drive me. I even got a photo shoot out of it. Score!

It’s Friday, and I was a freaking stressful morning and a half. I couldn’t calm down from everything until mid afternoon. It was a bit crazy. I ran into a disaster 5 minutes before leaving last night and no one was around to help solve it, so I spent all night panicking over it, and all morning trying to deal with it. I was exhausted by the end of it :(

This outfit is pretty much my current favorite colour combination. Greys and Purples all today. Actually, they are exactly the same as Elise’s wedding colours. Interesting.

I cuffed up my Dish jeans twice instead of the usual once so they would have more of a ‘cropped’ feel. I am now obsessed with Cuffed Straight Leg jeans, to the point where I never want to wear anything else now. Sorry Denim Leggings…

Everything else you know. Aritzia T, Kersh Sweater, Plum Necklace, Birkenstocks.

I am in love with purples and greys.

Blow The Dirt Away

Ok, this is the comfiest outfit of all time. I know I’m hanging out in a dirty back alley, but if I was a bum, I would just wear this outfit all day, everyday.

I should probably rename this blog to ’365 Lazy and Comfortable Outfits a Year’. Ha.

Dish Jeans + Over sized Aritzia T + Drapy Kensie Jacket = Perfection!

Ghetto Flip Flops and a bunch of layered chain round out the level of comfort in this outfit.

I make Ghetto look good! Hahaha!

Still 24

It’s my last day as a 24 year old. Thankfully, I’m not scared about getting old. It works out well since I’m faced with getting older ever year ;)

It’s funny how things always seem rushed and stressed when you attempt to get a way for a few days. Maybe that’s just because I have to have everything perfect before I leave so that when I arrive home, everything continues to be perfect. I’m crazy like that.

Running around today in my Yoga Jeans and plaid “cow boy” shirt from Aritzia. I layered it with a long white t-shirt and decided to do something a little different and belt it. Had the white t-shirt been a little long, then I might not look like such an umpa lumpa in these photos! Ha. I’m so harsh on myself sometimes.

The belt is made out of snake skin and is a dark wine colour. It’s part of the “Matt purchased this for me from Value Village” collection.

As for shoes, I’ve got my Army & Navy sneaker special on. I’ve been wearing these too much!

And, even though it’s hard to tell, I’ve got my new wire cuff, cuffed around my wrist. I really love it because it’s so light but so fun.

Tomorrow, I’m a whole year older!

Everyday is an Episode

Today I had to go for my full body scan, which is not a difficult task and one which I have done before. I was heading into it pretty optimistic, but once it was over, the nurse said a few things which made me question whether everything was alright or not. I know its most likely me over reacting, but now I cant help but worry. 2 weeks until I get the results of everything.

I had a mish mash of casual wear going on today. I plan on trying to shrink my Boyfriend Jeans in the dryer next time I do the laundry. I see other people wearing the same jeans and they look so much better. Hahah I get so frustrated with these guys!

Purple v-neck t-shirt from Aritzia paired with an oatmeal coloured ribbed waist Kersh sweater. My cream coloured scarf matched and contrasted nicely against the sweater.

I felt very neutral today, so I wore my brown flats and some brown wooden jewelry.

I love the ides of mixing natural elements and thats why I chose to mix Linen and Wood.

Again my hair is in a big messy bun!

The Deep Vee

Yea, so, I told you. Another day of clueless, lazy, fashion. I just can’t think ahead this week, and the weather changes from the minute I wake up to the minute I leave for work, so I’m totally lost.

I was very much in a rush this morning so I don’t even know if my outfit makes sense. I didn’t have time to double check, ha.

The simple grab consisted of…

Aritzia deep v purple t-shirt, that I could live in.
Mavi Serena Denim Leggings, that I do live in.
Random brown patchwork flats.
Two Gold necklaces that have gold balls which you can move around the necklace. My Nonna have them to me when I was young and I love them.

Even though I was really lazy today, I really like this outfit. I may just have to repeat it!

Like a Plaid Cow Girl

It’s a day of birthdays today. We have dinner at my Moms tonight for my Nonnos birthday. I can never remember how old he is. Somewhere in the 70s I’m sure. Then after dinner we are off to Surrey for the second of 3 nights out there this weekend. Our good friend Colin is turning 22, so we will join the festivities after dinner out in Surrey at Dublin’s Crossing.

Since we were going out to Surrey again, I felt like dressing City Approriate.

I call this top my Lesbian shirt. Chad says it reminds him of his old couch from the 80s. Now, I didn’t wear this top because Surrey is full of lesbians or 80s couches, but because I decided to dress it up, cowgirl style.

This plaid button up shirt is from Aritzia, TNA to be exact. They had many plaid shirts to choose from, but I was definitely drawn to the orange and blue plaid. The shirt is soft and flannel like. Its very cozy and while it’s some what hard to pull off, I love wearing it.

I decided to tuck it into my denim leggings, and it only felt right to wear Chads leather belt and my Fryes. The cow girl look wouldn’t have been complete with out them.

I totally feel like I should be riding a horse in this outfit!

Fancy Fridays

Since I always bug Alicia about dressing up so nice on Fridays when really you should dress like a bum, I decided to take some inspiration from her and put on my fancy pants!

Now that I have this great cropped suit jacket from Plum, I love wearing it with a variety of different outfits. I dressed it up today by pairing it with my deep v t-shirt from Aritzia. Nice and simple but a great colour. I love that you can take something so casual as a basic T and dress it up just by pairing it with a suit jacket. The combination of casual and dressy is something I’m really drawn to.

For bottoms I went with my black denim leggings and my black boots for a sleek look.

To add some fun to the outfit I wore a blue bow on a bobbi pin that I bought at Forever 21, and my silver horned necklace. Wearing fun and colourful hair things really add to any outfit. I like the idea of having a great hair accessory and using it to be your statement jewelery.

This look is a great example of pairing a few simple pieces to make a great outfit. Everyone needs a good suit jackte!

Home Grown

Supa Simple. That was today’s motto. I love when people throw on a bunch of simple basics and go. There is something so comfortable and easy, yet fashionable about their look.

Today I decided to wear my new Aritzia t-shirt, which feels even better on. I’m tempted to go back and buy the other colours! This has become my new favorite! Now, normally I wear a tank top under every single shirt I wear, especially something that is so low cut (call it the prude in me), but I love when I see other people wearing low cut  tees, no tank top underneath, just kind off fitted where it needs to be and loose where it needs to be. Again, it just looks so fresh, and easy, and fashionable. This was my attempt at getting comfortable with the style. Definitely something I will be doing more of!

I topped it off with a simple black ribbed waist Kersh cardigan, the same style that I wore on Sunday. Like I said, I have it in 6 colours! It’s just an easy piece to throw on top and it fits great.

Down below I’ve got my Yoga Jeans from Second and my faux Fryes. I just love wearing the Fryes with everything. Slightly obsessed.

As for accessories, a simple antique brass necklace I got from Plum. I think it was one of those ‘its the end of the season and its the last one left, do you want it?’ kind of necklaces. I was more then happy to take it! It’s got two bulls horns on it and you know how I feel about bulls horns! As Teresa says from the Real Housewives of New Jersey “It’s a Bull’s Horn. I have to have it. I’m Italian”.

Amen sister.
