As you can tell by my disaster of an outfit. Clearly I was not thinking straight. My head was clogged with gross things. Eww. I had a nap in the afternoon that was much needed.

We didn’t spend a lot of time in Venice. Well, the whole day, but we could have spent way more time there. Just a beautiful city, as you can imagine.

This morning was spent visiting the Monastery at Monte Cassino. It too was demolished by wars and earthquakes, but the way they rebuilt it is beautiful. The whole place is kind of mind blowing.
14 days into the trip. Outfits are going to start getting repetitive a bit!

We are staying over night in Cassino today. It is probably the newest town we will see on this trip. It’s new because the whole town was demolished during WW2 so everything you see, buildings and all, is 50 years old or newer, and for Italy, that is super young!

The Queen of the Castle
We did a mid day stop in Enna today, to check out a cool old castle and to climb to the top of its tower. That was pretty neat. Today is kind of another long-ish driving day, and being stuck in the back of a van surrounded by luggage, you basically want to be as comfortable as possible. So, in other words, I am kind of a mess today.
