I’m a Little Girl Again

When Alicia and I went shopping yesterday, we stopped by Army &  Navy to see if they had anything interesting in stock. As sketchy as Army & Navy can be, every now and then you can find something really cool. I ended up snatching these sneakers for $7! I was pretty excited with them.

I wore them out on Sunday as I had a bit of running around to do. Chad was having the boys over to watch Tiger play golf, so I ran over to Costco (which is like having a death wish on a Sunday) to get some fresh pizza and chips. Well, it was a nut house in there and it took me an hour and 3 staff members help before I found the damn pizza. I was not impressed!

Putting together this casual Sunday run-around outfit, made me realize that my Peacock t-shirt needs to be officially retired. It has this weird over all grey look to it now, and even though it is NOT dirty, it just really looks dirty. I think it’s becoming a PJ top tonight. No more going out in this puppy.

Wearing my Charcoal denim leggings rolled up at the bottom with my new sneakers is probably going to be my new favorite thing to do. The only negative is, on a cold day, that inch of ankle that is exposed ends up FREEZING! Hahah sad, but true.

Long Black Kersh Boyfriend sweater and my wire heart, which you can’t see.

Chad kept trying to stick his cast in all the shots.

Oh What a Day, What a Day

Well, Chad hurt his ankle last night. He fell down the stairs while carrying chairs. Not a good thing. I will most likely have to take him to the hospital tonight to get it checked out by a doctor, probably get an x-ray or two. Should be interesting.

I’ve spent the majority of the day working away and checking in with him periodically. It looks like my workload is going to double if this ankle of his is broken or something.

The sun was out shining today, but it still felt like it was going to snow. The mountains are freshly covered and they look beautiful!

I wore my new Dex leopard printed top today, layered with a tank top of course. I topped it off with my boyfriend sweater, buttoned at the top.

Navy Denim Leggings, Brown Boots, and Chains.

Now I get to go home and worry about the husband!

Summer with a Winter Breeze

We went to the Parentals for dinner today. I took the opportunity to take some pictures on the deck since it was so beautiful outside. The sun was shinning but the breeze was cold. Spring hasn’t quite hit us JUST yet!

I decided to try wearing my denim leggings cuffed at the bottom, but because they are so dark, you can’t actually see the contrast, which is the whole point at cuffing jeans. Oh well.

I wore my A-line, v-neck, t-shirt from Plum with my grey boyfriend cardigan from Kersh. I wanted to pop some colour into my outfit so I wore my pink Keds and layered a couple turquoise necklaces. The long beads I’ve had for years, and the shorter chain with the fuchsia flower I got at Plum.

I also put a little clip in my hair that I bought at Barefoot Contessa last Summer. A cute little black strawberry.

I love playing with colour, when it comes to shoes and accessories. Combining bright, contrasting colours, makes any outfit fun!

Simple and Lazy. Time to go to the Party!

Tonight is the start of the Party Weekend! Pat is back in town and Dario is having a housewarming party. Time to get my drink on!

I knew I would have no time after work to put together a ‘wonderfully fashionable’ outfit for tonights house party so I picked an all day, all night kind of outfit. Wasn’t really that hard considering I’m wearing a t-shirt, sweater, jeans, and boots. Comfortable, fun, and easy was what I was going for.

The black striped v-neck t-shirt is the one I bought at The Garage last week. Adore the stripes and I bought it a bit big as well so it would drape more.

I threw on my Teal Boyfriend Cardigan from Kersh. Thought it was the perfect splash of colour for the day.

Mavi Serena Denim Leggings and Faux Fryes for the win, topped off with my wire heart!

Bring on the good times!!!

Colour Confusion

This outfit makes me think of Spring time. I think this is the first year I have ever been EXCITED for Spring! Crazy but true! Normally I’m such a Winter girl, but this year, I’m ready for Spring to come my way.

This great t-shirt I bought at Plum is from a line called Scrapbook that we bought in LA. It’s got this neat over sized fit to it, which you of course can’t see because I am wearing a sweater, but it’s really fun and drappy. I bought it in a light green colour, which in reality doesn’t go great with my skin tone, so I wore a colour blue scarf draped around my neck to break up the colour. Due to the drape of the t-shirt, it comes up really high in some spots so I always wear a white cami underneath it.

I threw on my grey Kersh Boyfriend Cardigan just to keep me warm yesterday. The rain clouds rolled in and it was a bit nipply in the office.

I love pairing this top with my navy Denim Leggings and brown boot. I found out yesterday that Chad actually loves these boots and likes when I wear them with my Denim Leggings. Who would have thought!? How many times have I worn this combination and not even heard a peep out of him? That boy.

At the End of the Day

Another busy day at work with lots of running around and errands to do

This fun argyle printed t-shirt with a deep v has been apart of my wardrobe for years. It’s so old I can’t even remember where it came from. It’s one of those things where I leave it for a long time, and then rediscover it every now and then. It is a great t-shirt and a fun piece to reintroduce into my wardrobe.

I layered it with a white cami underneath and my teal Kersh cardigan over top. The colours really went well together and made for such a cute outfit.

The sunny weather has made me want to transition from boots to flats much earlier in the season then normal. I bought these black ones with a silver buckle from Walmart for $10. Buying flats at Walmart each season is the smartest thing to do. Cheap and easy and you don’t feel bad replacing them when the time comes.

My bottoms are my navy denim leggings of course.

As for the necklace, Alicia and I found a box of broken jewelry at work the other day that the boss was going to give to her daughter to mess around and create new pieces with. Well, before she did that, she let us take a peek to see if there was anything we were interested it. I found this great necklace that was in perfect condition other then the teal charm being broken. It is suppose to be a cross, but you can’t really tell. The colours went perfectly with the outfit and made for a great look.

Add on top of all that a cozy little knit hat and a sunny Friday at work just got a lot  more fun!

Pink and Fuzzy

Today was one of those days where I woke up and I had no idea what to wear or what I was doing or what was going on. My mind was totally blank. I call that a Monday Morning alright. It might have been the fact that I had a little bit of a Red Wine headache, and Chad had to get up at 5:30 so my sleep was totally disturbed. I was totally being whiney when he woke me up, haha!

So my Monday Morning Disaster consisted of the purple Plum top that I’ve worn before. The one that is all rouched and cute. Yes, that one, exactly! I layered it with a white cami, because you know I am obsessed with doing that. I threw on top my grey Kersh Boyfriend Cardigan with the 3/4 sleeves. This is the sweater that I also wear as a dress sometimes.

I was freezing cold so I grabbed this giant chunky scarf I bought from Bootlegger when I use to work there, many, many moons ago. It is very warm and cozy and was at the height of my PINK obsession. Everything I owned was pink. It was very strange. Anyways, it worked well because the yarn has lots of different shades of pink in it, as well as purple. It kept me warm and looked fun.

I wore my silver bulls horned necklace as well, just as some visual interest to the middle of my top, and to break up all the colour with something silver.

As for my bottoms, I wore my Mavi Jeans and my grey sparkle flats that I actually got at Walmart. They were 10 dollars and pretty cute which made it very worth it!

Kind of a random outfit for a Monday Morning, but then what more do you expect from me on a Monday!

Basement Wonders

The first Saturday in what feels like forever that Chad and I both had off, I had a girls night planned with my cousins. Bad planning on my part, but it wasn’t a total waste. Got a bunch of stuff done during the day while Chad was sleeping in, we had dinner together, and then met up after movie night with the cousins.

Now, in knowing I was going over to my cousins to laze around and watch movies, and then meet up with Chad at my other cousins house to laze around and drink beer, I was more then tempted to wear sweat pants, but then that wouldn’t have been very fashionable of me now would it have!

I grabbed one of my ultimate favorite t-shirt from one of my ultimate favorite bands, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The RHCP logo in red is actually made of velvet. Its so soft and such a great textured detail on this otherwise simple t-shirt. I layered the black Kersh boyfriend cardigan over top of it, and paired it with my Mavi denim leggings and Frye boots.

I knew the outfit needed a little something, something to make it pop and then all of a sudden it hit me. I’ve been looking for the perfect brown belt to wear with jeans for quite a while now. I was actually planning to go to Value Village this week to see if they had anything there. I wanted the brown to be very rich, worn, and on the lighter side of the colour spectrum, like the brown boots I have. Then I realized that Chad had the perfect belt that embodied everything I was looking for. He doesn’t wear it very often and he wasn’t wearing it tonight so I knew I could steal it.

It was a little long but it worked with my outfit perfectly. I think it’s safe to say that I am now obsessed with this belt!

This is one of my favorite outfits to date because this so undoubtedly me. If you were to describe me in an outfit, all you would have to do is point at these pictures. My favorite outfit on my favorite numbered day. 37 all the way!

Warehouse Misadventures

These days all seem so weird, and then these weird days turn into weird weeks, and all I keep thinking is, “wasn’t last week the weird week and wasn’t this week suppose to be the normal week?”. Today was no different. It must have been the fact that there was basically no one in the office and I just couldn’t figure out what to do with my life. Then Claudia, Alicia, and I went stir crazy and went a bit nuts in the warehouse.

I stayed up later then I should have last night so this morning I was in no mood to get up. My outfit reflex’s that! A casual Friday with no one to impress, I might as well take advantage of it!

Even thought everyone at work makes fun of me for my ghetto jeans with all the rips, I love them too much to give them up. They are so ripped now that if I wear knee high socks you can see them through my jeans. Haha. I just think that’s awesome.

I went for the triple layer today. A simple white scoop neck t-shirt from Plum layered with a black Kersh sweater vest, layered with my teal Kersh boyfriend cardigan. Simple and cozy for a lazy girl on a lazy Friday. Every time I wear a sweater vest I think of Chandler from Friends, and as nerdy as they might seem, I still love them!

This necklace I bought in the summer, I believe from Suzy Shier. Kind of a random purchase as I usually don’t shop there, but I was with a friend and this necklace caught my eye. Are they feathers or are the leaves? I don’t really know but I love they way they sit just below my neck. Plus, they frame my scar nicely! Hahah.

Just another fun Friday in the warehouse.

Hall Way Chit Chat

It’s hard to be positive on a Wednesday when everything around you is going wrong! I actually surprised myself with how positive I was despite the amount of failure all around me. I’m hoping to just coast through the rest of the night and then relax in bed with a book. I also stopped by the Sweet Factory on the way home to get myself a little treat.

The inspiration behind this outfit was the grey Kersh 3/4 length sleeve Boyfriend Cardigan that I bought a few years back to wear as an optional dress. Well I never actually wore it as a dress, partially because two buttons fell off and I never sewed them back on, that was, until today! (P.S. don’t let the pictures fool you, the real shade of this sweater is shown best in the picture of my necklace).

I kept the outfit light and wore two ribbed tank tops underneath. The white one is from Plum and the Teal one is from Abercrombie and Fitch. I absolutely LOVE the colour of the teal one. I bought it many years ago in New York and I’ve held onto it ever since. It is such a great spring colour that livens up the outfit. Layering two tank tops is also a great way to add  dimension to any outfit.

A simple pair of black tights and black boots make the bottom easy, and a great grey belt from Plum adds interest to the waist. It’s important when wearing tight fitting ‘dresses’ like this to not loose the shape of your body.

I played up my jewellery a bit more and wore the zebra print earrings I bought from Aldo. Such a great piece. I paired if off with an old necklace and key combo, again, a throw back to my Value Village days. Matt bought me the chain and then found an old key which he painted black. The key is worn now which gives it a great antique effect.

I love the combinations going on in this outfit and it’s so fun to wear!

Bad day. Stellar outfit!
