I’m a Colourful Hobo

In seeing as how it is the last day of work this year, I was in no rush to wake up. This inevitably meant that I was going to be late for work. Not to mention that we got home late last night and I had a nice hot shower right before bed, but my hair didn’t quite dry and so it was a small disaster today. Hence the Hair Bun of Madness…

I kind of feel like this outfit looked better in person. Or maybe I am just New Years Eve Eve delirious.

Can you believe that tomorrow is day 365!?

So, in celebrating my last ‘work’ outfit of the year, I went for a Clown look. HA.

A basic white T paired with a knit sweater vest that my brother got me for Christmas (go Steven!) thrown under a Teal Kersh sweater made for a good start. I felt that the scarf was essential for warmth and fun. Clowns are fun, right? Dish Jeans and Chuck Taylors rounded out me looking ridiculous today.

I was running around like a bit of a nut all day, but maybe that’s because tomorrow is the last day of this project!!!

The Black Princess

Yes yes, the Black Princess is back, and by that I don’t mean anything other then the fact that I like to wear black. Fridays trends hung on until today.

I am starting to feel under the weather, which is never a good thing. However, if I do have to get sick, I prefer it to happen now and NOT next week. Being sick at Christmas is pretty much the worst thing ever, and the last few years I always seem to be gross right around it.

Nothing uber exciting happened today, especially in the fashion department. I just like being Black.

The top is from American Apparel, and I wore it with a grey T from Plum. My Dish Jeans and Chuck Taylors you clearly know by now.

I threw on my Florence Leather Belt because I love the colour and forgot how much I enjoy wearing belts for the pop of colour they provide.

The headband is from Forever 21. I can never wear headbands because the pressure on my head gives me a headache. Yes, even the slight pressure of a headband does me in every time. My head is just that sensitive. I have to take it off every couple hours just to make sure I didn’t explode!

Such difficulties in life ;)

In With The Trees

I hung out with the Christmas Tree today. You only get so much time with it in one year, so you really have to live it up when you can.

Running around in those boots yesterday killed me. And trust me, I did run. My feet were so sore this morning that they screamed for a pair of checkered vans, and you know me, when they ask for the Vans they get the Vans.

A casual Hump Day, I reverted back to my 2 favorite colours from earlier this week; grey & purple, Elise’s Wedding colours when I come to think about it. Actually the scarf I am wearing is from Elise’s wedding. See, it’s all connected.

I haven’t warn my Kersh V Neck Pull Overs yet this Winter, so I thought I would bust one out. I chose the Grey one, naturally. Paired with a white t, purple scarf, and Dish jeans, and I had myself a comfortable mid-week party.

Tomorrow they are calling for a rainy disaster of a day. I am not looking forward to it :S

Hobos On The Outside

There are so many jobs on the go. So many things that need to be done. I guess it’s the season of events, and parties, and business. I already feel the stress of not having my Christmas Cards out and it is only the SECOND of December. Don’t even get me started.

The Sun came out today, which was a nice change of pace. It warmed us up enough to take pictures outside. A welcomes change of scenery.

Today I wore an old sweater from Plum, back in the day when we use to produce our own sweaters. This one is a mix of Black and Brown, with a hood and kangaroo pocket. Super cute if you ask me! I wore it with a long white T and my speckled Dish Jeans & Chuck Taylors.

Sometimes, in the rush of the morning, I tend to ignore the obvious need for accessories. I think it is clear that I am a ‘less is more’ kind of girl. Today, however, I went for osmething a bit more bold, something a little more unexpected for this outfit. Large wooden beads in Blue did the trick.

Who said blue balls were a bad thing?

Where Has My Photographer Gone?

Weird work hours and afternoon adventures has left me photographer-less a little to often this last little while. You can guarantee when I stand in front of the coffee table it means I have no one to take my photo. It doesn’t help that I don’t have a tri-pod also and have to prob up my camera on the table.

Today’s outfit is kind of an out there attempt at doing something different. I grabbed all these pieces randomly, put them on, didn’t hate them, but didn’t love them, and just thought ‘why the hell not!’.

Looking at these pictures now, this outfit doesn’t look too CRAZY, but I felt crazy as I wore it.

Everything here is from Plum, minus the  necklace which is from Forever 21.
Leopard Print T layered with a white Tank Top.
Blue Kersh Old Man Cardigan
Mavi Cargo Skinnies
Beat Up Chuck Taylors

I guess feeling crazy and looking crazy aren’t always the same thing :S

Day 316-1

Fri Dizzle

Today was all about getting my butt home in time to make an amazing dinner for the crew. I think I succeeded. The kitchen and ‘dining room’ many never be the same again, but at least we enjoyed ourselves!

After dinner there was a mad rush to get down to the Cambie. Elise and I text messaged each other from across the table and apparently that annoyed the boys. Too BAD! Haha!

Since I knew we were going to the Cambie tonight, I only felt it necessary to dress appropriately. That’s right girls, fancy dresses and heels NOT welcome! They clearly don’t realize that they get mocked by all the “scum” – including myself – in the place. You dress down and dirty to go to the Cambie, not up and classy!

But I digress.

One of our more popular sweaters this season at Plum, my Skull sweater from Kersh naturally felt like the perfect fit for the Cambie. I wore it over a long white T which helped cover up my long torso, considering the sweater itself is somewhat short. My motorcycle jeans were also a natural choice as they are my most ‘rugged’ jeans, and Chuck Taylors are basically issued at the door, so I had to wear them.

It’s kind of weird that a place like Plum sells skull sweaters, but these are so cute they just fit right in. This was the first time I wore it out and I got so many compliments on it. Definitely a must have!

Grunge You

It’s Friday. I don’t think there is anything else I could say!

From the looks of it, this weekend won’t be as crazy as last weekend, or as crazy as next weekend might turn out to be, and that is probably a good thing.

The boys are going out. I am staying home. There is much to catch up on!

This outfit fits how I feel to a T.

Urban Outfitters Buffalo Plaid Hoodie
White Garage T
Dish Jeans

Thanks for comin out!

Whoa Whoa Whoa

I was kind of under stress today. I had an appointment at the Cancer Clinic, just the usual check up sort of deal. Even though I knew everything was going to be fine (I go for so many blood tests that if something wasn’t fine, I would already have known) theres still that little thought in the back of my head, that something could possibly go wrong. Thankfully nothing did, and I don’t have to go back for another 9 months. Woot Woot!

I don’t think you ever get use to going to the Cancer Clinic.

Since I’ve been keeping it ‘cool and casual’ the last little while, I opted for a relaxed look today. My long white T from the Garage layered under a V neck pull over from American Eagle. I love the colour of this sweater! As the weather gets cooler each day, I find myself grabbing for scarves more often then not. It’s just such an easy way to keep warm and it added to every outfit. This black and white heart scarf I bought at Plum.

As for my lower half, I went with the every popular Dish Straight Leg Jeans and my Chuck Taylors. They hid behind my boots in the closet, so I often forget about them. This time, I remembered!

I’m glad everything worked out well today.

I Make All the Lesbians Scream

I kind of feel like I should either be in an episode of Roseanne of painting someones house. I mean, I love this outfit, but I’m not totally clueless as to what others might assume of me. This oversized boyfriend blouse is some what ‘lesbianic’ as my friend Sasha would say, but it is probably the most comfortable blouse I have ever worn. It’s actually more comfortable them most t-shirts!

I figured since I broke the ‘Fall Seal’ yesterday by wearing the leopard sweater, I might as well wear another piece. I love this super soft cotton plaid boyfriend blouse. I wore it with a white tank underneath and my Dish jeans. My Chuck Taylors even made an appearance. I mean, if you’re gonna do it, you gotta do it all the way haha!

No jewels, just simple, kinda manly, and straight out of a 1990s sitcom.

I’m Not Actually In The Army

It’s another day. This week is going to be insane. Like I’ve said, too much to do, not enough time for fashion.

Today I will admit that I was especially lazy.

It’s been pouring rain again and so because of that I feel like I need to bundle up but then I go outside and it’s not actually cold. Ugh this WEATHER. It’s never ending disappointment.

But anyways…

Black Long Sleeve from American Apparel
White T from Forever 21
Army Jacket from Bluenotes- Bought this about 5 years ago and was obsessed with it FOREVER. It fits amazingly and I have a soft spot in my heart for anything camo/army, but in a classy way, not a white trash way…Plum actually used the style and shape of this jacket and did their own version last year. Pretty cool!
Mavi Jean
Chuck Taylor’s

If it was 2005 again, I would most likely look exactly the same as this!
