It’sa Friday!

I don’t really know what happened today. It didn’t feel like a Friday so I was all off kilter. Work got a bit insane in the afternoon which made the time pass, which is always good on a Friday afternoon. After dinner we went to the Plum store on Granville for a little shopping and to meet up with Suzy, a blogger friend from the great land of England. The 3 of us then spent the rest of the evening drinking wine and watching bad TV. A nice relaxing Friday night.

This rain is really putting a damper on my Spring Fashion.

Dish Jeans
Grey & White layered Plum T-shirts
Teal Kersh Cardigan
Multi Coloured scarf from Le Chateau
Flats from Coast Mountain Sports

I just want to curl up by the fire and read a book.

That statement is so depressing because it is MAY not NOVEMBER.

Ugh.

In the Flowers

I made a mess of the deck today. It was a mess, then I made more of a mess, and then everything was converted in dirt. Luckily I did this, and cleaned it up, all before the rain rolled in.

I just hope my newly planted flowers don’t drown away.

I’m pretty sure I’ve done a variation of this outfit before. It’s so fun, I can’t help but re-due it again and again.

Chad asked me if I was 15 years old when I showed him what I was wearing. I think he’s just jealous!

Leggings from Target paired with Denim Shorts from Heritage 1981.

Red Hot Chili Pepper Band T-shirt and Target sandals.

Lucky I got the shorts in before the storms hit!

Home Home Home

It’s been a long day. On the way home we stopped by Chads Moms to give her some flowers for Mothers Day, and then we had a dinner date at my uncles house where I gave my Mom her Mothers Day flowers.

I’m so ready to fall asleep.

This outfit looked cuter in person, I swear.

Mavi Serena Denim Leggings in Royal with an over sized Plum t-shirt in grey, paired with a cream sweater from Forever 21.

I’ve got a cute black belt on that you can’t tell, and I wore the same black sandals from yesterday.

I go sleepy time now.

Dinner with the Cripple

Today was a much better day, health wise, from yesterday. I guess each day has been better then the last. Mostly because it is one day closer to this being all over. My stomach still has its moments but other then that, today was pretty optimistic.

I could tell that Chad was starting to have the effects of Cabin Fever so I dragged him out of the house so we could go out for dinner to Earls, which is just up the street from our apartment. While it is burdensome for him to move around with his crutches, I figured going out for dinner would be an easy way to get home out of the house to people watch, with out a lot of effort. Worked like a charm!

I wore my Beck band t-shirt today. If you know me, you know that I love Beck more then anything. He is my hero! My t-shirt, unfortunately, is too short for my body, so I had to layer it with a longer white t-shirt.

I love wearing my teal Kersh boyfriend sweater as a pop of colour everything I wear a monotone outfit.

Navy Mavi denim leggings and flats rounded out my bottom half.

I decided to add a cute bow in my hair, silver bracelets, and my studded purse for our date out. It turned my rather casual outfit into something a little more funky for evening!

The Old Tried to be New

Day 1 of 5 in a week filled with Thyroid tests. Definitely looking forward to this week being over. I felt sick for a little bit today, but it wasn’t that bad. I can only hope the rest of the week is like this.

My cousin from Ontario was also here visiting. Shes in town for the week and we had dinner with her at Moms house. She told me the girls in her class like to read my fashion blog, but are too scared to comment. I say comment away! It’s not like I get creeped out by people I don’t know commenting, I actually encourage it!

In other news, let me tell you the story about these jeans.

Back in 2006, when I went to Australia, skinny jeans were the biggest thing known to man. As someone who had always worn flared jeans, I was not to happy about this new trend. I was way to fearful that they were going to end up looking like the horrible tapered jeans I wore in grade 8. My cousins eventually convinced me to take the plunge and took me out shopping to by a pair of ‘skinny jeans’. Now, as you can tell, these really aren’t skinny jeans, they are more like straight leg jeans. It’s been a while since I’ve worn them, and either I’ve shrunk, or they have stretched out, because they do not fit like I remember.

It’s funny looking at these jeans and remember how they were such a big leap for me. Now, I almost only wear skinny jeans; jeans way more fitted then these ones.

I was kind of disappointed with the way these jeans fit, and with the over all look of this outfit, but oh well. I love the buffalo plaid top, it just didn’t really look that great with the jeans. I guess not every outfit pans out in reality.

At least in the last picture I kind of look grungy!

My Feelings Exacty

I’m at a loss. It’s like Februrary out there. I know I talk a lot about the weather, but when the weather is gross, I just don’t really feel like dressing very spring like. Plus, it feels like it’s going to snow outside, so that totally deters me.

I wore my jacket for 3/4 of the day yesterday, indoors. That’s how cold it was. I also wasn’t feeling very hot to trot. :(

I’ve got my Vero Moda black drawn string sweater. So freaking comfortable on cold days. I layered it over a long white t-shirt.

Dish jeans and blue checkered Vans.

SUPER simple.

That’s all.

I’ve Been a Bad Girl

Or at least that’s what these pictures make me think.

I was feeling a bit rustic today; maybe a little bad as well. I wore a black sweater in the office today because it was so cold, so I looked even more ‘bad’ at work. I blame my love of black.

I went for my black denim leggings, shocking, and my faux Fryes.

I layered a white t-shirt with a grey Henley I bought in Australia. I layered that with my green and black handkerchief scarf that I love so much.

I decided to do something different today and belted my top and scarf at my empire waist. It’s adds a bit of visual interest to an otherwise blank slate. The belt is yet another Value Village find.

I opted for some black chunky jewels to keep with my rustic, bad girl look. Sometimes I love over playing a look like this.

The glasses were the perfect piece to top it off.

The Police

The office is now half empty since our designer and buyer have gone off to LA for work. This allows Alicia and I to chit chat more! But we still get all our work done so it’s not like we really slack off or anything; every things just a little more relaxed. In a few months I get to accompany our designer, Claudia, on the next LA buying trip. This will be my second experience and we are both, really looking forward to it.

In other news…

I have this box in my closet where I keep all my old Band t-shirts. I went through this phase where I bought a shirt at every concert I ever went too. I guess tenchincally I still do that, I just haven’t been to a concert in a really long time. Anyways, I went to put something away in this box and found this t-shirt I bought at the Police concert I went to with a friend. I never wore because it was too big for me. Well, lucky for me over sized t-shirts are all the rage right now!

I wore my Police t-shirt with a white tank top underneath. I layered it with my grey sweater I bought at Plum.

Yoga jeans and Faux Fryes with a single strand of Pearls.

I wore my hair in a high bun like a Librarian. I have discovered this is my new favorite look.

My D&G glasses just to keep it classy.

I love random closet finds. Turns out this t-shirt isn’t all that big at all and will definitely become a part of my daily rotation!

Score!

The Normal Days are Here

Someone lied to me today and said it was suppose to be sunny and warm. The sun woke me up in Central Burnaby, but by the time I got to East Van it was gone. Damn you sun, damn you. I don’t even have socks on.

I pulled out the Boyfriend Jeans from Mavi today. I really need to gain 10 lbs in order for them to fit me properly. I dunno, maybe my frame is just not meant to wear boyfriend jeans. I look like a midget. But anyways.

I paired them with a basic white v-neck t-shirt I got from Forever 21. Can’t beat a 5 dollar t-shirt!

I threw on my black and blue striped sweater from Kersh. Thin, but fuzzy and soft, I just love the way it feels.

The heart necklace I got last year from Christmas as part of a secret Santa type game. It is clearly NOT real Tiffany’s because that would be insane, but it is beautiful none the less.

$12 Walmart flat finish the look off and add to my looking stumpy. Ha.

What am I going to do with these boyfriend jeans…

Sunday, Super Bowl, Sunday

Well, our original plans for the day were cancelled, but I have to admit that staying home and watching it here with the boys while working away on the laptop is the best of both worlds! Chips, kegs, yelling fans, Twitter updates. I love it all!

Had to pop in and out this morning, which meant wearing PJs all day wasn’t an option. Plus I don’t know what the boys would think of me if I was parading around in pink PJs right now, hahah!

I had to carry over the new belt obsession considering it was less then 24 hours since discovering this brilliant idea. I ended up wearing the same jeans too, cause, why not.

On top I wore a neutral white t-shirt with a grey v-neck sweater, from Kersh of course. Kersh makes the most comfiest sweaters out there. You can tell I love them because almost every sweater I wear is from them.

My mom brought me back this great scarf from Alaska. It’s two toned blue, with a teal colour on one side and a blue on the other. It also doubles as a big pashmina which I love. The colour contrast nicely with the belt and also brings a pop to the outfit.

I wore my inspirational brown boots, since it was them that made me want this belt. Rich leather browns and deep blues are my favorite things right now!

Now, to see who will win this Super Bowl…
