I’m a Colourful Hobo

In seeing as how it is the last day of work this year, I was in no rush to wake up. This inevitably meant that I was going to be late for work. Not to mention that we got home late last night and I had a nice hot shower right before bed, but my hair didn’t quite dry and so it was a small disaster today. Hence the Hair Bun of Madness…

I kind of feel like this outfit looked better in person. Or maybe I am just New Years Eve Eve delirious.

Can you believe that tomorrow is day 365!?

So, in celebrating my last ‘work’ outfit of the year, I went for a Clown look. HA.

A basic white T paired with a knit sweater vest that my brother got me for Christmas (go Steven!) thrown under a Teal Kersh sweater made for a good start. I felt that the scarf was essential for warmth and fun. Clowns are fun, right? Dish Jeans and Chuck Taylors rounded out me looking ridiculous today.

I was running around like a bit of a nut all day, but maybe that’s because tomorrow is the last day of this project!!!

The Mixing of Neutrals

We got a last minute dinner invite from friends today which was totally awesome because I was in no mood to cook and hadn’t taken anything out of the freezer yet. Score 1 for being lazy! The best part of the holidays is catching up with everyone and having dinners and spending time. It was such a lovely evening.

I went with a very ‘blah’ colour palate today, but I love the colours none the less. Something you need a bit of the ‘non-exciting’.

White T + Taupe Kersh Sweater (so friggin comfortable!) + Grey Mavi Denim Leggings + Black Boots + Silver Beaded Necklace from Plum

I love the way this looks put together. I was a little uneasy about the way it might look, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Sometimes neutrals can be your best friends <3

Work Shmerk

I was definitely not ready to go back to work today. I envy those who get all of the Christmas break off work. Not that three days in a half dead office is difficult, but I’d much rather be sitting on the couch with a cup of tea.

I know that this is the last official week of the project, and I probably should put some sort of effort into my outfits, but honestly, I am so exhausted!

Today I look like a rocked our farm worker. I kind of like it actually.

I layered a long white T with my Plaid Boyfriend blouse from Plum. I then wore my 3/4 sleeve Kersh Boyfriend sweater over top and rolled up the cuffs to match.

Dish motorcycle jeans, faux fryes, and my hair in a braid and I am ready to milk the cows.

I guess deep down inside, I’m kind of rugged.

I Like To Drag It Out

Colds, that is. What is this, almost two weeks now!? Maybe if I actually took the time to rest and relax I might be able to get this bug out of me. Serves me right.

I was gross face today, so I had to stay cozy and warm and drugged.

Olympic Sweater
White T
Yoga Jeans
Faux Fryes

I opted for a Kleenex as my accessory de jour.

Sick in a Dress

So, I put aside my cold for a minute to wear a dress. It is true! We got these new fleece lined leggings at work, and I knew, as someone who is always cold, I had to buy these. These leggings are amazing! Probably the warmest I’ve been in a while, and I’m not even wearing pants!

I wore the dress I bought in the Summer from target. I wore a white T under it, because I’m obsessed with doing that. Teal Kersh Sweater over top added a pop of colour. Fleece tights and grey knee high socks add some ‘leg interest’ with my black boots. I love this idea of wearing tights and knee high socks.

For as much jewellery as I have, I only went with simple white earrings that I stole from my Mom years ago. I was sane enough to put this outfit together, but not sane enough to accessorize it.

Now that I have these fleece lined leggings, dresses and skirts in the Winter will definitely be an option for me!

Cold Sore Face

With less then 2 weeks left until this whole project is over, you’d think I’d maybe put some more effort into things. To bad its that time of year where I get a cold that lasts forever and slowly eats away at my soul. I woke up with another cold sore today. 2nd in as many weeks, but this one is visible so it is therefore grosser. Ugh. It makes me feel like poop.

Purple T from Plum
White T from Plum
Black Sweater from Kersh
Grey scarf from Italy
Dish Jeans
Checkered Vans

Just the usual.

The Attack of Grey & Blue

The stripe trend carries on as it usually does. I thought I would mix prints and patterns today. I know, what a CRAZY concept.

Oddly enough, I have a T-shirt and a Sweater that is made of up almost the exact same colours. Only makes sense to wear them together, right?

I wore my Dex leopard print grey & blue T with my Kersh striped grey & blue sweater. They got along quite nicely, so I added a grey scarf to the mix to keep in my neck heat. I realize that when dressing for reality you aren’t always dressing fashionably. Well, this blog is about reality, so unfortunately I feel the need to wear a scarf every single day! Ha.

Down below I wore my Yoga Jeans and Black Boots. We went out to Burnaby Village Museum tonight, so I needed extra warmth in the leg area. My yoga jeans are thicker then my denim leggings so they were the perfect option.

The print/pattern together is quite f un, but again, I need to get some more printed Ts so I can explore this option some more!

Outfit Love

How predictable am I? Very predictable because every time I wear this sweater I am in love.

Tonight we went on the Christmas Train around Stanley Park, so wearing layers was a must. We still froze our butts off, but at least the extra layers took a little of the edge off.

Long Sleeve White Plum T
Led Zeppelin Band T
Kersh Stripped Sweater
Dish Motorcycle Jeans
Faux Fryes
Knit Toque

The train we fun times and we all went out for foods afterwards which was fun times as well.

I wanted to parade around in my comfy and warm outfit all night long!

Down By The River

Well, this outfit kind of turned out better then I expected. It’s not normally something I would wear, but I decided to layer a bunch of different things to see how it turned out. Plus, during this time of cold and sickness, it was nice to be all cozy and warm.

I know I’ve worn this scarf quite regularly these days, but it just seems to fit so many things. I particularly love the way it contrasts with the blue. One of my favourite colour combinations!

So I…wore a white long sleeve T, under a grey over sized T, under a blue Kersh sweater, topped off with a green handkerchief scarf. I wore the white long sleeve T one, so I would be warm, and two, so it the sleeves would hang out longer then the sweater. I like cuffs like that.

As for pants, I wore my Mavi cargo pants and black boots.

These black boots work for most outfits, but they are a little too casual/rain boot-esque for my tastes these days. I need to get a flat black boot that is a little bit more fancy. Kind of like a cross between these boots and my other black heeled boots. Maybe then I would be happy!? Ha, who knows!

Stripy Mc Stripe

I’m not very good at being creative bold pieces of clothing. All I ever seem to do is pair it with something simple and let the bold piece stand out. It just ends up becoming so mundane. I need a lesson in creativity.

While this sweater is not HUGELY over the top , it is enough so that all I want to wear something basic with it. I ‘tried’ to step out of the box today and paired it with a grey T, black denim leggings and a black scarf, but it’s not really that out there. I like the idea of mixing a patterned sweater with a printed T, but most of my T-shirts are in basic colours, or striped. I really don’t own that many printed Ts. Clearly, I need to change that.

The only adventurous part of this outfit was a clip I found that matched my sweater. Cutest thing ever!

I like todays outfit, but I really feel I need to push myself some more when it comes to fashion. Especially when it comes to the pieces I love.
