I’m a Colourful Hobo

In seeing as how it is the last day of work this year, I was in no rush to wake up. This inevitably meant that I was going to be late for work. Not to mention that we got home late last night and I had a nice hot shower right before bed, but my hair didn’t quite dry and so it was a small disaster today. Hence the Hair Bun of Madness…

I kind of feel like this outfit looked better in person. Or maybe I am just New Years Eve Eve delirious.

Can you believe that tomorrow is day 365!?

So, in celebrating my last ‘work’ outfit of the year, I went for a Clown look. HA.

A basic white T paired with a knit sweater vest that my brother got me for Christmas (go Steven!) thrown under a Teal Kersh sweater made for a good start. I felt that the scarf was essential for warmth and fun. Clowns are fun, right? Dish Jeans and Chuck Taylors rounded out me looking ridiculous today.

I was running around like a bit of a nut all day, but maybe that’s because tomorrow is the last day of this project!!!

Work Shmerk

I was definitely not ready to go back to work today. I envy those who get all of the Christmas break off work. Not that three days in a half dead office is difficult, but I’d much rather be sitting on the couch with a cup of tea.

I know that this is the last official week of the project, and I probably should put some sort of effort into my outfits, but honestly, I am so exhausted!

Today I look like a rocked our farm worker. I kind of like it actually.

I layered a long white T with my Plaid Boyfriend blouse from Plum. I then wore my 3/4 sleeve Kersh Boyfriend sweater over top and rolled up the cuffs to match.

Dish motorcycle jeans, faux fryes, and my hair in a braid and I am ready to milk the cows.

I guess deep down inside, I’m kind of rugged.

Cold Sore Face

With less then 2 weeks left until this whole project is over, you’d think I’d maybe put some more effort into things. To bad its that time of year where I get a cold that lasts forever and slowly eats away at my soul. I woke up with another cold sore today. 2nd in as many weeks, but this one is visible so it is therefore grosser. Ugh. It makes me feel like poop.

Purple T from Plum
White T from Plum
Black Sweater from Kersh
Grey scarf from Italy
Dish Jeans
Checkered Vans

Just the usual.

The Black Princess

Yes yes, the Black Princess is back, and by that I don’t mean anything other then the fact that I like to wear black. Fridays trends hung on until today.

I am starting to feel under the weather, which is never a good thing. However, if I do have to get sick, I prefer it to happen now and NOT next week. Being sick at Christmas is pretty much the worst thing ever, and the last few years I always seem to be gross right around it.

Nothing uber exciting happened today, especially in the fashion department. I just like being Black.

The top is from American Apparel, and I wore it with a grey T from Plum. My Dish Jeans and Chuck Taylors you clearly know by now.

I threw on my Florence Leather Belt because I love the colour and forgot how much I enjoy wearing belts for the pop of colour they provide.

The headband is from Forever 21. I can never wear headbands because the pressure on my head gives me a headache. Yes, even the slight pressure of a headband does me in every time. My head is just that sensitive. I have to take it off every couple hours just to make sure I didn’t explode!

Such difficulties in life ;)

In With The Trees

I hung out with the Christmas Tree today. You only get so much time with it in one year, so you really have to live it up when you can.

Running around in those boots yesterday killed me. And trust me, I did run. My feet were so sore this morning that they screamed for a pair of checkered vans, and you know me, when they ask for the Vans they get the Vans.

A casual Hump Day, I reverted back to my 2 favorite colours from earlier this week; grey & purple, Elise’s Wedding colours when I come to think about it. Actually the scarf I am wearing is from Elise’s wedding. See, it’s all connected.

I haven’t warn my Kersh V Neck Pull Overs yet this Winter, so I thought I would bust one out. I chose the Grey one, naturally. Paired with a white t, purple scarf, and Dish jeans, and I had myself a comfortable mid-week party.

Tomorrow they are calling for a rainy disaster of a day. I am not looking forward to it :S

Over Salted, Over Layered

Over salted – possible. Over layered – NEVER!

I was wrapped tightly today, all cozied up. It is nice to be warm!

Today I wore grey and white Ts layered and wrapped with a purple and grey striped sweater. Purple & Grey, an excellent combination in my books. A grey fuzzy scarf to match, just to make sure I don’t catch a wind and end up sick for days (old Italian wise tale). Motorcycle Jeans from Dish because I like texture, and my Faux Fryes because I want to wear them every day.

This outfit works more then I thought it would. I love the shade of grey in the T-shirt and how it works with the sweater, and the texture of the jeans with the sweater! Sweet Jesus!

Yes, I get obsessive about these things.

Hobos On The Outside

There are so many jobs on the go. So many things that need to be done. I guess it’s the season of events, and parties, and business. I already feel the stress of not having my Christmas Cards out and it is only the SECOND of December. Don’t even get me started.

The Sun came out today, which was a nice change of pace. It warmed us up enough to take pictures outside. A welcomes change of scenery.

Today I wore an old sweater from Plum, back in the day when we use to produce our own sweaters. This one is a mix of Black and Brown, with a hood and kangaroo pocket. Super cute if you ask me! I wore it with a long white T and my speckled Dish Jeans & Chuck Taylors.

Sometimes, in the rush of the morning, I tend to ignore the obvious need for accessories. I think it is clear that I am a ‘less is more’ kind of girl. Today, however, I went for osmething a bit more bold, something a little more unexpected for this outfit. Large wooden beads in Blue did the trick.

Who said blue balls were a bad thing?

Quirky Day in the Office

It’s also Slob It Up day at the office, brought to you by yours truly. It’s funny calling yourself a ‘fashionista’ when you dress more casual then a hobo. I guess that’s why I try NOT to call myself a fashionista.

Busy, Party, Party, Busy = Danielle doesn’t like getting dressed on Monday Morning.

I have lost all sense of creativity.

Today’s Monday Morning Outfit is brought to you by a basic grey T from Plum, a teal Kersh sweater, some Dish jeans, and my Blue Checkered Vans. I threw in the black scarf to hide my face.

I kind of do belong in a warehouse.

Day 331-1

A Table for Two

In sticking with the disaster theme, lets talk about how ghetto these photos are and how I look like I need help in both of them. Danielle you FAIL.

I had to plan an outfit that would work in two different establishments. 1) Fancy enough for dinner at the Pear Tree 2) Casual enough for Alicias Birthday Party at Academic. I think I succeeded.

Though you can’t really see, I wore two tank tops layered over each other, blousing one out, so I could have it partially tucked in as to make the belt visible. I then layered it with a Royal coloured Kersh Sweater I purchased from Plum many years ago. To  the restaurant I wore a simple black and white heart scarf to class up my neck area.

I wanted to stay away from skinny jeans and boots this time around, so I went for my Dish Wide Leg Jeans and some black heels (which you clearly can not see).

I think it all looked quite cute together, but you can’t tell because I am making a horrible face.

I love the contrast of the belt to the blue in the jeans and sweater. Favorite!

Next time, I promise to take better photos.

Bring On the Warmth

Could I BE any more bundled up? Probably not.

I love this scarf that I bought from Plum early this year. It is so chunky and cozy, only problem is it sheds like a mother on my black Pea Coat. Now it kind of looks like Grover. It does get to be a bit much to wear all day because it is so thick and cumbersome, but it keeps me warm, so I guess that is the price I pay!

I wanted to go about my day all dressed in black with one pop of colour. As an Italian, I don’t think I wear enough black. It use to be my favorite colour when I was younger, not because I was Gothic, but because I was/am Italian.

I started off my black outfit with a stripped T-shirt from the Garage. The stripes give a bit of a visual interest. Next I grabbed my black Kersh Boyfriend Cardigan. My Dish Motorcycle jeans aren’t technically black, but they are dark, and I love their texture, so they get a pass. My plaid boots were a perfect choice considering my outfit was becoming more about texture and print then about being Black. Ha.

Tomorrow it is suppose to snow. Oh God, what am I going to wear!?
