Work Shmerk

I was definitely not ready to go back to work today. I envy those who get all of the Christmas break off work. Not that three days in a half dead office is difficult, but I’d much rather be sitting on the couch with a cup of tea.

I know that this is the last official week of the project, and I probably should put some sort of effort into my outfits, but honestly, I am so exhausted!

Today I look like a rocked our farm worker. I kind of like it actually.

I layered a long white T with my Plaid Boyfriend blouse from Plum. I then wore my 3/4 sleeve Kersh Boyfriend sweater over top and rolled up the cuffs to match.

Dish motorcycle jeans, faux fryes, and my hair in a braid and I am ready to milk the cows.

I guess deep down inside, I’m kind of rugged.

I Like To Drag It Out

Colds, that is. What is this, almost two weeks now!? Maybe if I actually took the time to rest and relax I might be able to get this bug out of me. Serves me right.

I was gross face today, so I had to stay cozy and warm and drugged.

I opted for a Kleenex as my accessory de jour.

Sunday Special

Today we took a trip to the wonderful city of Mission. Long story short, my Dad went to high school at Westminster Abby in Mission. He became friends with a couple of the monks there and so at Christmas we usually go and visit. I am obsessed with going if only for the amazing collection of 70s furniture and decor they have. It is like stepping back in time.

Their Mountain View room makes for awesome photoshoots.

I can’t tell if my Italian sweater clashes or matches the couch.  None the less, I love how bright the colour is.

Black Mavi Denim Leggings

Outfit Love

How predictable am I? Very predictable because every time I wear this sweater I am in love.

Tonight we went on the Christmas Train around Stanley Park, so wearing layers was a must. We still froze our butts off, but at least the extra layers took a little of the edge off.

Long Sleeve White Plum T
Led Zeppelin Band T
Kersh Stripped Sweater
Dish Motorcycle Jeans
Faux Fryes
Knit Toque

The train we fun times and we all went out for foods afterwards which was fun times as well.

I wanted to parade around in my comfy and warm outfit all night long!

The Friday Standard

I guess looks like this are becoming the Friday Standard. My hair was a fuzz ball disaster today, and not in a good way either.

Winter just makes me want to wear Black sweaters and these boots. I like to match the weather as best as I can.

Tonight’s plans got jack-knifed because Chad said it was raining. 2 drops of rain, people. Anyways, we ended up going to Surrey for some Mad Men & Hot Chocolate, so I guess it wasn’t THAT bad.

Oh No You Didn’t

Today is a perfect example of those days where you looked good leaving the house, but don’t look so good coming home. Tip for anyone who ever decided to take on a project like this, take your photos in the morning right after you get ready and you will look your best! DO NOT wait until 6pm on a Friday and think you will look just as refreshed and glowing as you did in the morning.

Fridays have been a disaster at work the last little while. You would expect them to be relaxing, but no.

Also, my hair looks like a greasy rats nest in these photos. FAIL.

But anyways, lets talk about my outfit.

Boyfriend Blouse + Boyfriend Cardigan = New Favorite Layered Look. Chad actually thought I was wearing one of his shirts when I got dressed this morning. Priceless.

I layered this look with a long white T because that is my signature, and this outfit was looking a little too dark for my liking. Yoga Jeans and black boots covered my lower half, and a trinket filled necklace covered my neck scar. I was clearly a little too inspired by yesterdays jewellery selection and went over bored today. See, I am so all about less instead of more. I feel over done just because I wore a necklace with this outfit. Crazy, I know.

Prancing around in this was fun today.

DISASTER

I totally bailed in the parking garage on my way up tonight. That’s right, I rolled my right ankle, smashed me knee, and killed my shoulder all in the matter of 3 seconds. Not good. But, as the trouper I am, I still took fashion photos and made dinner before passing out in pain on the couch :S

I kind of feel like this outfit is very rustic. Like I should be in the woods or something. Could just be me though.

Most of yesterdays snow is gone. The over night rain did it in. Seems like such a waste. All the beautiful snow washed away like it never happened.

It was still chilly today, so I went for the smart choice and decided to wear a long sleeve white knit top under a sweater, that way I got extra warmth and cute little white cuffs. I love layering every thing with a white knit top!

Both the White T and Blue Sweater are from Plum, along with my stripped scarf.

My Mavi cargos are always a nice change from wearing Jeans every day. I know I should probably introduce other bottoms into my wardrobe, but that’s just not me.

The Faux Fryes probably saved my life because they gave my ankle some sort of stabilization. I knew these boots were special <3

There is Nothing Like a Photo Shoot in the Bathroom!

Tonight I got together with two girls I haven’t seen in forever, Marlee & Krista. It was so fun getting together with them and stuffing our faces with Japanese food. God I love Japanese food!

Krista was very excited to be my photographer for the evening, and I was very excited to have her take my pictures!

Since it did snow last night, tonights concern was more warmth then fashion. My plan to wear a skirt for the first time in forever was thrown out the window. Though, I have to admit, denim leggings are way to thin to keep your legs warm!

I wondered around downtown in my striped T from H&M and my striped sweater from Kersh. STRIPE ALERT. The stripes on the T-shirt are so tiny that they don’t really compete with the sweater, which is a good thing.

My neck was freezing cold, so a grey knit scarf from Plum was essential. Black denim leggings as I mentioned and Faux Fryes. I tried playing it cool. Ha.

The only cool thing about this outfit is that I am in the bathroom. Bahaha!

Peace and Quiet

Last nights rain and snow didn’t really do much, however, tonight they are calling for full on snow and I am EXCITED! I don’t have to go anywhere tomorrow, until the evening when I am taking the Skytrain, so it can snow as much as it wants and I won’t be annoyed! Yay!

Tonight we have no plans, which is actually very odd, but I am not complaining because I need a night of doing nothing and worrying about nothing. Work is still crazy and I am still behind and it is slowly eating away at me :S

Todays Cozy Comfort is brought to you by my fireplace. That and my Ninja Sweater, White T, Motorcycle Jeans, and Faux Fryes.

Friday Perfection.

Crazy Lady in the Dark

I think it’s pretty clear that I am a crazy lady in the dark. Yes, I also have leaves in my hair. We were at my Aunts house for dinner tonight and she decorated the table all pretty with leaves, so naturally, I stuck them in my hair. Yea, I’m cool like that.

I can’t really say that this is the most flattering outfit on me. My legs look about 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide. While I can partially blame that on the dark, I think the majority of the blame needs to be placed on my over all outfit. Good in theory, not so good in practice.

I guess I was kind of going for a rustic, cowboy, motorcycle look, that kind of translated into a scrubby, hobo in the basement look.

Mavi Plaid Top + Dish Motorcycle Jeans + Italian Leather Jacket + Faux Fryes = A Schizophrenic outfit!

Better luck next time?
