Grey To Meet You

And so begins the week of weeks. Pat arrives tomorrow night and there will surely be adventures this week. Hopefully all will go as planned and we will all have a gay ol’time. It’s always fun when Pat is Back.

Though there is not much colour going on in todays outfit, I wanted to play on layers and prints. The detail and intricate crochet work on the scarf plays off of the small print on my Dish T. The greys are also not the same shade, so the scarf adds some dimension to it. I layered my Dish T with a white t-shirt just to break up all the darkness in my outfit.

The drapy-ness of my Plum sweater also plays off the drapy-ness of the scarf .

I then cuffed my yoga jeans and wore my new grey flats from Spring.

While everything is pretty monotone, I think all the different elements work together nicely!

Candy Time!

It’s my Mommas birthday today. She was born on all hallows eve some years ago, so we spent the evening at her house, making dinner and handing out candy to the kids. We were pretty popped from last nights dinner, so we spent the day quietly before heading over to Mothers.

Chad and I didn’t dress us this year. Dressing Chad up is like pulling teeth, so I don’t even bother any more, plus it’s just easier then stressing out about costumes.

Todays ‘costume’ is made up of a basic White T, my very drapy Kersh striped sweater, a pair of Dish jeans, and grey flats. Very grey and blue. I love it!

And no, I didn’t eat all the candy!

Midweek Mishaps

Things are slowly coming together. I decided to clean out my whole closet and get rid of a bunch of stuff, which I was not expecting to do. There wasn’t really much to get rid of, but just enough to make room for the last few Fall purchases I have waiting for me on my rack at work. I have my closet organized down to a science. I need to otherwise I would find nothing. It pains me how small it is.

Chad has also decided to start going to the gym a few times a week, today being one of those days. The kitchen table had to take my photos for me cause I didn’t want to wait around for the husband to get home. I need to find a better solution :S

I think today’s outfit had potential, but I’m not feeling it. I need to invest in some new flats, which I really think I am going to do this weekend. I have a very poor selection.

The striped top I got from The Garage, but there is something about it that I like, yet don’t like. I can’t put my finger on it. I kept it simple by pairing it with a black Ribbed Waist Cardigan from Kersh. These babies sell like Hot Cakes each year at Plum. They are such a great investment.

I wanted to do a big scarf again, so I grabbed the shawl I wore for my cousins wedding and knotted it around my neck. Seemed to work pretty well.  As for my Mavi Jeans, they are in desperate need of replacement. The only reason I keep wearing them is because they are the only pair of boot cut jeans I own that I can wear with flats. The are dying very, very quickly. I have to stop torturing myself by wearing them.

The bracelet I got was a pretty cool purchase I made in Italy at a store called OVS. It’s pretty popular over there and has a lot of cute things.

Sweater Love

Yea, I friggin love this sweater. I have a huge obsession with stripes. Just ask Chad. I think every sweater I have ever bought him consists of stripes. DEEP SEEDED LOVE OF STRIPES. I know I own too many, but I can’t stop. Read – ADDICTION. Ok, enough with the caps lock.

Day 2 of work and I still have my head in the clouds. I plan on leaving it there as long as possible. (This is going to come back to haunt me, I just know it).

Today’s outfit is brought to you buy a long Plum T-shirt in Charcoal, an AMAZING Kersh cardigan in Charcoal & Purple stripes, and my Yoga Jeans. Oh, and we must not forget the Black Key necklace that Matt made me and my ever stylish Walmart flats! Bhaha.

Stripes, stripes, stripes.

Home Soil

The day after a cross continental flight should probably be spend sleeping and being lazy. Well, that didn’t happen for us. We woke up early (naturally with the jet lag) and some how had the biggest burst of energy. We decided to take advantage of this and run all the arraigns we thought we should at some point get to during the week. All the laundry was done, we brought our suitcases back to my Moms, took the car through Air Care, and so much more. We were nuts.

That evening, dispite how I felt by 5pm, we decided to head out to hang with the BFFs since we hadn’t seen them for a month. All was good until I fell alseep on the couch and woke up at 12:30 to realize I wasn’t at home. Le sigh. Cranky Pants Alert.

Because I basically wore the same few pieces of clothing during the last half of the trip, I am now sick of those items. I’m actually clueless when it comes to clothes now because I’ve been so out of touch with what is in my closet.

I threw on an old white T, that doesn’t really fit, but under a sweater it works. It has a nice neckline and I’d hate to give that up. Over that I wore an over sized Grandpa cardigan from Kersh and my splatter painted Dish Jeans. The purse I bought from Plum just before I left for Italy. It’s the one we purchased in LA and I had been waiting for. It doesn’t really go with anything I own, but I am obsessed with it.

Now that I’m back, I’m not too worried about fashion. I just wanna have fun with what I wear. It doesn’t have to make sense.

Hello Giant Grandpa Sweater!

This is the start of my last week of work. I AM EXCITED!

Things have been wrapping up quite nicely, I just need to find more time to finish up on the last few things at home. Hopefully I can get all that done with little to no stress.

We had dinner at the rents again, so Chad and Dad could finish up on their wine making before departing. I ended up bringing over all my ironing and did it while I waited. Smart move!

So, you can see that this sweater on, looks much different then it laid out on a carpet. It’s very drapy and over sized, but the 3/4 length sleeves add great style to it. It does feel a bit to encompassing, so I will probably wear it open next time, but I still think it’s a great style.

It worked well paired with a simple white V-neck T and grey leggings. My shoes still need some work, but I will definitely be changing that this Fall.

The necklace I love, because it reminds me of a Tiffany’s necklace, with out having to shell out major money.

I really like today’s look.

Day 254-1

Party On

I love having my photo taken at the end of the night because I’ve forgotten to take it earlier! Ha, I actually don’t look as bad as I thought I was going to look, so that is VERY good.

So, I am wearing a totally new outfit. An outfit that I was really excited about until I realized I had NO shoes to pair with it. Dammit Danielle. Please ignore the flats, I really should be wear a pair of heels or wedges or something.

But anyways…

I totally love these motorcycle jeans. They fit so great, and I love the texture and seaming on them. NEW FAVORITES!

This crazy Kersh top is also so awesome. I’m all about crazy tops you have to layer with other tops. I love visual interest like that.

I had so much fun in this outfit. I just wish I had shoes!

Blank Slates

We are doing nothing this evening in preparation for the craizeness that will be tomorrow. Dinner with friends alla Chad & Danielle, then party time at Blarney Stone, where we dance the night away. Well, dance and drink the night away.

Running around a lot has become the theme of the last week, two weeks, month, year. I don’t think it will ever stop.

I kind of realized today’s outfit is really basic, as in, very little to no pattern. Thank God I threw on that scarf before I left!

Grey T – Sample Sale
Charcoal Cardi – Plum
Royal Leggings – Mavi
Striped Scarf – Plum

This is the last Friday I will be spending in this city for a month. That is just too crazy to think about!

La La La

I only got dressed today for 2 seconds to pop out of the house and then come right back.

We did nothing today. Saturday recovery more like.

These jeans officially need to retire, but I have no flared jeans to replace them so I will continue to wear them and complain. Ha. Fall Jeans, where are you!?

It’s all very grey and basic. Plum T & Cardi. Gifted Scarf, Mavi Jeans, Flats & a Purse.

I’m going back to the couch and TV.

Late Night Kitchen Parties

Home late from dinner at the In-Laws. Pictures in the kitchen always work out when it’s late and I still have to take photos! You can’t be too picky when you have to do this every day. Sweet Jesus.

Today was very low key, other then dinner. We were both super tired, so nothing too exciting was in the plans.

I thought I would go with a simple, classic Danielle outfit to day, since the last time I went to the In-Laws, my outfit was a bit of a disaster, and even looking back on it now, I really don’t know what I was thinking. They must think I’m crazy!

White Plum Tank Top
Grey Esprit T-Shirt
Purple Kersh Ribbed Waist Cardigan
Second Yoga Jeans

Mixing bright blue jewellery with other bright colours is something I love to do, and this blue beaded necklace and purple sweater make a great combination!
