Summer Time Black

No warehouse today. Told you! Well, tomorrow is the last day it can possibly happen, so at least I know that much. Work is just too busy crazy to spend any time out in the warehouse. That’s my excuse anways. Ha. I hate inventory. I don’t know anyone who actually likes it.

I re-fell in love with my Mavi boyfriend jeans today. How so you ask? Well, I did the very simple thing of rolling up the hem one more time. I KNOW! I thought it would be too bulky, since they are quite long on me and already rolled up a number of times, but it worked, and it looks so much better on my stumpy legs. I should have attempted this long ago.

The other thing I re-fell in love with today is tucking in shirts. I know its been a thing for a while now, but I really, really love it; especially if you have a cool belt to show off.

My black knit T is from Plum, last spring. Its very light and airy which I love on hot summer days. Even though it is black, which is not very ‘SUMMER’ of me, its so comfortable to wear. Since it is a little blousy, I lightly tucked it in at the front to show off my teal YSL belt.

A simple silver necklace and some fun flats and this ‘warehouse’ look ends up being somewhat fashionable!

The Black Stripes

So it’s Monday, but I technically didn’t have a ‘weekend’ so I don’t really know what day it feels like today.

I left my suitcase in a giant pile in my bedroom and probably won’t get to it until tomorrow night. Oh well.

I still feel behind the 8 ball today, so I was lazy with my outfit choice. I was way stressed this morning over what I was going to find when I got to work. Mild crisis, solved by the end of the day. Thank God.

It’s Been a Long Day

A long long long long day.

I need to have a shower and get to bed just to start it all over again.

It’s Friday. I Deserve Wine.

Hell yes I do! I also deserve a meal made by the Husband. Score one for me!

Well, I’m glad this week is over. I’m not as tired as I thought I would be. Good work ethic means a lot gets done in a crunch, and I’m proud to say a lot did get done.

This weekend is looking pretty good with a mixture of adventures and relaxation.

Tonight we are just going to Costco to pick up a few things and then we plan to pass out in front of the TV. I heart these kinds of Fridays.

I threw some colour into Friday with my multi coloured handkerchife scarf and blue Kersh cardigan.

A basic white T and Yoga Jeans, which I haven’t worn in forever, felt like the perfect Friday casual.

I went for flats instead of boots, even though it’s not super amazing outside. The boots need to be locked up until October. Srsly.

 Heres hoping for some actual Summer weather this weekend!

Chillin’ Out Cool

Working late means I spend less time in the kitchen. I guess thats a trade off, cause if I spent the same amount of time in the kitchen it’d be time to go to bed by the time I was done!

I don’t really know what I was thinking today. It was something along the lines of…just put on some clothes and get to work, there’s too much to do!

The Magic of Good Lighting

See what a little SUN does!? It makes everything look so much nicer; especially my FACE. Haha.

Sometimes, well, most of the time, the photos I take inside our little apartment don’t turn out so well. I wish I had a better camera and time to go to fun locations, but those just aren’t options at the moment. Thankfully a little sun and the outdoors does wonders for photographing outfits!

It’s good to be back in the swing of things. It always seems to take us a while to recoup after camping. Must be all the sleeping on the ground.

I know it’s not hot enough yet (even though its June) but I’ve be dying to get into all my tank tops and sleeves blouses. I finally said Screw It and grabbed one of my favorite.

I got this stripped tank top from one of the infamous sample sales. I love it because not only is it stripped, it’s also grey! Amazing!

The top scoops down quite low so it is essential that I layer it, but that’s OK because it looks quite awesome layered.

I had to wear a sweater, so I chose my black boyfriend cardigan. Just because it is sunny doesn’t mean it is warm!

Getting Ready to Leave

Today was clearly a rushed day. I didn’t get too dressed up since I knew I would have have to rush home, shower, and change into camping clothes.

It’s Friday, it’s been a long week, I’m keeping it simple.

Printed T from The Garage – I bought this years ago and for some reason never really wore it. It’s actually really cute and the perfect length so I’m glad I never got rid of it. It’s going to work perfectly if this Summer weather ever rolls around.

The Classic Grill

It’s unfortunate that it looks like I am wearing parachute pants in the first photo. It’s also unfortunate that the cuteness of this outfit did not translate in these photos.

It drives me crazy when I am so busy during the day that the only chance I get to take a photo is at the end of the day when my hair has turned to shreads, I’m over tired, and my face looks like poo. Today was a classic case. Damn you Costco.

It’sa Friday!

I don’t really know what happened today. It didn’t feel like a Friday so I was all off kilter. Work got a bit insane in the afternoon which made the time pass, which is always good on a Friday afternoon. After dinner we went to the Plum store on Granville for a little shopping and to meet up with Suzy, a blogger friend from the great land of England. The 3 of us then spent the rest of the evening drinking wine and watching bad TV. A nice relaxing Friday night.

This rain is really putting a damper on my Spring Fashion.

There’s a Horse on your Shirt

Yes, it’s true, there is a horse on my shirt. I bought it at yet another sample sale. The horse just spoke to me. I swear I was not on drugs.

I know I relate clothes to weather in every other post, but if we are not dressing for the weather, what are we really dressing for?

I hate this stormy weather. I’m tired of wearing pants.

However, I do love these Dish Jeans. I love them more and more each time I wear them.

So, in being all brown today, I wore my horse shirt, and an oatmeal coloured Kersh Sweater. I’m usually not a fan of ‘blan’ colours, but when I tried this one on I was sold. There is something cozy and soft about the colour.

I kind of wish I had a horse for realz.
