Hangin Out at the Fair

My face is totally wonking in the picture. Not sure what the heck happened.

We went to the Fair at the PNE tonight. It was super busy but fun to hang around none the less. My favourite part is, as always, the Super Dogs and Farm!

Todays Day to Night outfit included a very fun, oversized tank top that I got from a sample sale. The picture doesn’t really do it justice. Its really neat how it hangs off the body. I layered it with a simple whit tank and then, due to the chili evening air, topped it over with a 3/4 length sleeved Boyfriend Cardi from Kersh.

I decided to wear my Second Yoga Jeans rolled up at the hem so they were kind of ‘cropped’. Birkenstocks matched the outfit so I had to go with them.

A pop of colour and fun with a floral statement necklace from Forever 21 made the outfit 10 times less boring. One last touch of Summer!

Party at the Heagles

Today was a busy, busy day!

Chad, his sister and I hosted a 60th birthday for his parents at his grandparents house today. Lots of work was put into this by everyone. Tons of food, wine, and good times.

I was able to sneak away for a quick photo in the hall. It’s somewhat embarrassing taking photos of your outfit in front of 40 family and friends!

Yes, today I repeated an outfit, but I love this one so I just had to do it again.

I changed it up this time around by wearing a cream cardi from Forever 21, a brown leather belt, smoke agoya shell necklace, and some flip flops. I totally felt like I was on vacation or going on a safari. I just LOVE this outfit!

I wish I had gotten a couple more shots, but oh well. Time to go hunting for some Lions!

I’m a Boat on the Ocean

MONDAY! WOOHOO! Haha NOT!

Today was totally one of these Mondays where I was really not looking forward to work. No real reason in particular, just the Monday blues I guess.

I actually squeezed myself into my Charcoal Denim Leggings today. I was very close to giving up on them because even though they are the same size as my other leggings they are WAY tighter and less stretchy. This screwed me over when I ordered them assuming they would fit the same way. Oh well. After putting them on the HOLD shelf for a while, I decided to try them out today. They don’t fit as tight as they use to some how, so I might just give them a second life!

I heart my Forever 21 sweater. Geez it feels like forever since I’ve been there. I should probably go check it out before Italy just in case they might have something I need.

A basic white V-Neck T and my nautial sweater made Monday feel better as the day went on. I really love this sweater, the only problem is, I don’t really know what to wear with it other then a basic T-shirt. I need to experiment more.

Also, as you can tell, I hate my bangs and plan on wearing them pin in some sort of fashion, every day now. At the same time, pictures of my old hair make me want bangs again. We shall see what happens in the Winter.

I Am Not Your Server

Everytime I were black pants and a white blouse Chad asks me if I can get him a glass of water and some hot wings. Thanks, but I don’t work at a restaurant dear! I guess restaurants have kind of ruined the white and black look for us, but styled the right way, I don’t think have to fall into that category!

You’ve seen this look before with boots in the winter, so for the summer version I paired it with some black and gold gladiator sandals and some gold accessories.

I did feel very professional wearing this ensemble, black pants will always do that to you!

New Hair for a Zebra

The hair has been cut! It feels so much lighter and has so much more movement. Every time this happens to me, I always have a little bit of a panic attack because it feels like I have no hair left, but in reality it is SO much better! There is no fun in having a giant sack of hair on your head in the middle of Summer!

I spent the morning walking around the city, before and after my haircut. It was so nice to be in Coal Harbour, watching all the tourists, in the warm sun. I don’t often travel down there, but it is such a beautiful part of the city.

Tonight, we celebrate my Dads birthday with a Wine Tasting evening with Friends!

I got creative again. A turquoise tank tucked into a super cute Zebra skirt, both purchased at Plum. I brown belt would have looked great with this outfit, but I didn’t have one, so I opted to pick up the cream colour in the skirt. Gold and Cream Anchor necklace and Flower ring, both from Forever 21. Nude Sandals also worked out well with this outfit.

The close up photo of me looks way to dark and light all at the same time. Kind of awkward.

Cute outfit though! I want to wear it every day!

My Beady Heart

Hello Friday. Hello Lazy Face. Hello Grey.

It always feels wrong to wear dark colours in the Summer, but, they are my favorite, so what do you really want from me? Other then my magically cute outfit on Wednesday, I’ve been going blank when it comes to outfits. I’m just not organized this week.

At least wearing this Knit Top from Plum off the shoulder looks cooler then I thought it would.

I keep wearing these Mavi Jeans despite the amount of holes on my back side, and every time I wear them I feel the need to talk about them. You can smack me now. Fall 2010 will involve me updating my Denim collection. Omg, motorcycle jeans are on the way. DROOL.

But back to today. There was a lot of grey. Blue grey really.

The multi coloured beads add a nice touch though, perfectly picking up this outfit from the depths of despair.

Ha. Could I be more dramatic?

The Wooden Stance

Well, the wind is gone, and the Sun is fighting to get the heat back up. Frankly, I welcome the bright sun with cooler temperatures!

Don’t really know what to say about today. I worked like a mad man to organize my jewellery drawer. Slowly but surely it starts to take up more and more room. It’s surprising how much stuff I have!

I kind of blanked out this morning and just went to my closet grabbing comfortable things.

My toes look all weird to me since I took off my nail polish and am wearing nude coloured sandals. It’s like there is nothing on my feet!

I can’t wait to get a mani and pedi on Friday! So in need of some Hand and Feet TLC.

During the summer months – June and July – most of the clothing and accessories in our stores goes on sale, and there’s usually not a lot of new items entering the warehouse.  Fall doesn’t start shipping until early August, so monthly purchases go down to virtually nothing. I did, however, manage to pick up a few items in our last shipment of new Summer merchandise.

At The Cambie

The husband has invaded my photos. Only took him 163 days!

We spent the evening at the Cambie, as you can clearly see. It was good times until all those who were watching UFC decided to come out and take over. Lame.

It was nice and sunny all day today. Absolutely beautiful!  I had to dress for the transition between hot afternoon and cool evening, so I brought a sweater with me and went for knee shorts instead of short shorts.

Jean Shorts – They are actually capri-ish, but I rolled them up to be shorts, much cuter! Only problem is, I have no idea where I got them from.
