The Navy Storm

So, I just realized that todays outfit is like the exact opposit of yesterdays out fit. Grey and White up top, Navy down below. Weird.

I know it is warm and sunny and I keep wearing jeans, but I have good reason. Well, maybe not so good reason. I haven’t been able to do laundry, my suit case is still pretty much packed, and I haven’t shaven my legs yet. Sad but true. This week is a nut house and priority has not been, laundry, unpacking, or shaving, therefore it will be known as Jeans and Sunny Days week.

I’m such a sucker for the Simple and Cute looks. Chad says they are his favorite and in all reality, it’s what I am most comfortable in.

Denim Leggings AGAIN, sorry. I wore a long grey tank top under a longh grey t-shirt. It makes my mid section look super long which is cool.

I ‘stole’ a blue ribbon from the Notions room at work and stuck it in my hair, which I thought was an awesome idea.

My shoes and necklace match, with them both being in black, so that was good.

This outfit makes me want to go to a park.

I really want to go to a park now.

Home Home Home

It’s been a long day. On the way home we stopped by Chads Moms to give her some flowers for Mothers Day, and then we had a dinner date at my uncles house where I gave my Mom her Mothers Day flowers.

I’m so ready to fall asleep.

This outfit looked cuter in person, I swear.

Mavi Serena Denim Leggings in Royal with an over sized Plum t-shirt in grey, paired with a cream sweater from Forever 21.

I’ve got a cute black belt on that you can’t tell, and I wore the same black sandals from yesterday.

I go sleepy time now.

A Day at Work, a Date at Night

It’s a fancy Friday today because we are going out on a double date tonight with my cousins and I knew I wouldn’t have a lot of time in between to get ready and change looks. Plus, I kind of felt like being fancy anyways.

This outfit is basically a copy/variation of the one Claudia put together for our Managers Meeting. It’s such a cute and easy look that you can substitute any knit top and sweater and still look just as great.

I tucked a basic white scoop neck t-shirt into a cute little black tulip skirt and then wrapped a grey belt around it.

I layered this look with a beautiful violet blue sweater. The perfect length for pairing with a short skirt.

The tights I wore were fun, but a giant pain in the butt. They are ‘One Size Fits All’, but far from actually fitting me. They don’t have a lot of hold so even though I pulled them up high (which I do with every pair of tights I have and they always stay) these ones fell down horribly. Not only that but the knee stretched out right away. I was highly annoyed with them. If I was wearing them with boots they wouldn’t have been such a big deal because I would have tucked the excess into the boot, but with heels I had tuck all the excess length really awkwardly into my underwear, as it was the only way to make them stay. It was not a very comfortable day to say the least.

I paired this look with the same black pumps and necklace as I did for the meeting.

The T-Shirt and Tights are from Forever 21.
The shoes are from Aldo.
Everything else is from Plum.

Cold Sore Death Drama

I woke up this morning feeling like more poop then yesterday. This is why I have made all my pictures darker then normal, to hide how I really feel. Do you also love that I almost never smile and just glare at the camera? Or how about the fact that this bookshelf has become me new favorite background? Is it really my favorite, or am I just that lazy? I blame Chad not being able to take pictures of me from any other location other then the couch.

So yes, today I felt gross. My cold sore kept growing and outside a storm of hail and rain exploded everywhere. It was pretty neat.

When I feel like poo, the first thing I want to do is re-tell myself everything my Nonna has ever said about not catching a cold. This involves wearing layers, always having a sweater on hand, and above all, make sure your chest and neck are covered by a scarf. You know how those pesky colds attack you the minute you expose your neck to the elements! Therefore, today I wore layers, boots to keep my feet warm, a thick sweater and I had my neck and face wrapped in a scarf for most of the day. Very middle of December if you ask me.

This outfit is not very exciting, but I attribute it to saving me from any potential cold attack I may have recieved today.

“You’re Wearing American Colours”

Was what Chad said to me today when he saw my outfit. So observant!

I braved yet another wind storm to wear this outfit today. I may or may have froze to death.

I finally whipped out my Charcoal Mavi Denim Leggings. Love them! They are so soft and fit like a glove. For some reason these ones don’t have spandex in them (or so says the tag) but they feel so comfortable on, like you are actually wearing leggings. I think at one point my sink and jeans actually became one. It was magical.

I wanted to wear my little sailor sweater again, so this time I wore it over top of an a-symmetrical t-shirt I bought from Plum and only buttoned the top button of the sweater, to let the t-shirt kind of flow about. It made for a lot of movement which was fun.

A simple long chain that matched the antique nickle of the buttons worked perfectly, as did my Black, White & Red flats.

It was so fun wearing this all day!

Easter Eggs and Tank Tops

I realized after Chad took these pictures, that despite the amount of the light in the room, they came out quite dark. Therefore, you can’t tell the full extend of colour going on in my outfit.

We spent Easter at my Moms house, where she served dinner for 20, including members of our family, Chads family, and some friends. It was definitely a crazy Italian feast.

I felt particularly dressed like an Easter Egg because I was wearing my Royal Denim Leggings and an old purple tank top. The colours were so bright and saturated that I definitely stood out.

I wore the tank top layered over a white ribbed tank to break up the colour a bit, then I wore it all tucked in so that I could wear Chads belt exposed. I love the contrast of orange and blue together, which is essentially what the brown leather belt and royal leggings are.

I wore a cream coloured sweater from Forever 21/Heritage 1981 on top, just cause I felt like adding another layer to the mix. The good thing is that all the layers are thin, so they don’t add a lot of bulk to the mix, and they don’t look out of place.

My new obsession is to wear a thin necklace chain, with out the charm. It is so delicate and simple, it almost acts as a hidden piece of jewellery, because its so thin, you don’t see it right away. I paired that with a longer, thicker chain with a black key on the end of it.

Lastly, I just felt like wearing the faux fryes, cause they matched my belt.

It’s all about layers today!

Now…time to eat chocolate!!!

P.S. Don’t you love that you can see my Mom in the background!?

Shop ’til You Drop!

Posted by Danielle Ciavarro under Purchases

Here are some photos of the new things I’ve purchased in the last little while.

I forgot that all the t-shirts were left in a bag for a week, so they are a little wrinkled. Scratch that, a lot wrinkled. I apologize for my laziness in not ironing them, but seriously, who irons t-shirts.

Anyways, enjoy!

Woops!

So, guess who took the white t-shirts from Forever 21 and put them in the dryer shrinking them 3″ length wise!? I DID!!!

Ugh. Danielle. When will you learn!?

The whole point of buying these t-shirts was because they were long and other t-shirts are too short on me. Giant fail. I’m so annoyed with myself that I am going back to Forever 21 tomorrow night and buying them again; along with any other delightfully fun pieces I see! I really need to find a place that sells better long white t-shirts.

I wore the v-neck t-shirt today, dispite its lack of length, under my stripped blanket sweater from Press. Love this sweater.

I paired it with my Navy denim leggings, Chads brown belt, and my brown boots. Love this combination, as you know.

I also wore my seagull necklace from Urban Outfitters.

Alicia styled my hair for the pictures because she didn’t like how it kept parting.

The boss even compliment how ‘amazing’ I looked today! It’s always nice to get a compliment from her!

Party at the Cambie

It is Patricksbirthdays party! Here I am at the Cambie, one of the ‘classier’ establishments in Vancouver hahaha. I don’t care how sketchy it looks, I still love it to pieces.

I spent the day running around with Pat going on an adventure to find him roller derby stuff, and then picking up the last needed ingredients for his home made Birthday dinner spectacular! I love spoiling my friends with food.

Today was unusally warm in the great city of Vancouver and I spent it skipping around in flats and a little jacket. Such a nice break to have it warm again!

I put together another all day, all night outfit.

Black Mavi Serena Denim Leggings, a basic white t-shirt from Forever 21, studded black belt from Plum, and my grey Kersh Boyfriend Cardigan. Very monotone yet rocker chick. The perfect Cambie outfit.

Sometimes I forget how fun it can be just to wear black skinny jeans and a white t-shirt. So simple, but it looks great every time.

Snake Skin and Tights

Ok, I am fully sold on this whole shorts and tights business. I am obsessed.

These black dotted tights are the ones I got from Forever 21 last week. $6 a pair!

This time around I paired my tights with a pair of cotton shorts I bought at Plum. I love Plums shorts. They always fit me perfectly and hit me at just the right length.

I wore a basic white t-shirt and layered it over top with a Kersh Ribbed Waist Cardigan in Royal Blue. The colour in all these photos is off. Damn Camera.

I then found a dark purple/red snake skin belt that I bought at Value Village and wore it around my waist.

My sporty black flats worked perfectly with this outfit to make it fun and fashionable.

I now want to wear shorts and tights with everything!
