There is Nothing Like a Photo Shoot in the Bathroom!

Tonight I got together with two girls I haven’t seen in forever, Marlee & Krista. It was so fun getting together with them and stuffing our faces with Japanese food. God I love Japanese food!

Krista was very excited to be my photographer for the evening, and I was very excited to have her take my pictures!

Since it did snow last night, tonights concern was more warmth then fashion. My plan to wear a skirt for the first time in forever was thrown out the window. Though, I have to admit, denim leggings are way to thin to keep your legs warm!

I wondered around downtown in my striped T from H&M and my striped sweater from Kersh. STRIPE ALERT. The stripes on the T-shirt are so tiny that they don’t really compete with the sweater, which is a good thing.

My neck was freezing cold, so a grey knit scarf from Plum was essential. Black denim leggings as I mentioned and Faux Fryes. I tried playing it cool. Ha.

The only cool thing about this outfit is that I am in the bathroom. Bahaha!

Day 322-1

Hop Scotching

The boys (Chad & Ryan) took the girls (Elise & I) to Hop Scotch, otherwise known to us as Scotch Fest. Now, it is pointless in bringing us, and really a waste of $40, but they seem to enjoy our company. I guess you can’t really complain when your husband wants to include you in his manly adventures.

Because Scotch Fest is usually filled with a mix of people, I chose to dress and match the Classy folk, and not the Cougars or Scotch Sluts. Though, when I told Elise what I was wearing she called me Skanky. HA. Thanks Elise!

The Boyfriend Jacket seemed to be the theme amongst the Classy Girls so I’m glad I wore mine because I fit right in. It took me long enough to buy one, but I seem to be getting quite the usage out of it!

Under my jacket I wore the Press Ruffled Knit Tank that that I got at Plum, and paired it with my Black Denim Leggings. My new go to when it comes to pants, it seems.

Heels are essential when keeping it classy, so my black boots worked perfectly. Not to mention it was raining and snowing when we got there, so they kept me warm!

Scotch and Snow. Chad & my favorite things.

The Last of the Events

Today is the last day of our busy schedule. Chads niece Emily turns 11 and today is her birthday party. A nice family dinner is probably exactly what the doctor ordered. Saves me from cooking at least :P

I’ll make this Sunday post a quicky, yours truely needs some sleep.

Cozy and comfortable fashions.

White T from the Garage
A very lovely winter sweater from Kersh at Plum
Dish Jeans
Grey Checkered Vans

Now I just want to grab some blankets and pillows and pass out in front of the TV!

Ohhh La La Banquet Time

It’s that time of year again when our Italian organization holds it’s annual banquet.

Amazing food + crazy Italians + dancing & free wine = one hell of a night!

I didn’t buy a new outfit this year, but instead decided to recycle something I’ve worn before.

Black bandeau dress from Plum
Black wrap – Gifted
Silver & Blue multi strand beaded necklace from Plum
Tights from Forever 21
Heels from Aldo

I am the lady in black!

Day 316-1

Fri Dizzle

Today was all about getting my butt home in time to make an amazing dinner for the crew. I think I succeeded. The kitchen and ‘dining room’ many never be the same again, but at least we enjoyed ourselves!

After dinner there was a mad rush to get down to the Cambie. Elise and I text messaged each other from across the table and apparently that annoyed the boys. Too BAD! Haha!

Since I knew we were going to the Cambie tonight, I only felt it necessary to dress appropriately. That’s right girls, fancy dresses and heels NOT welcome! They clearly don’t realize that they get mocked by all the “scum” – including myself – in the place. You dress down and dirty to go to the Cambie, not up and classy!

But I digress.

One of our more popular sweaters this season at Plum, my Skull sweater from Kersh naturally felt like the perfect fit for the Cambie. I wore it over a long white T which helped cover up my long torso, considering the sweater itself is somewhat short. My motorcycle jeans were also a natural choice as they are my most ‘rugged’ jeans, and Chuck Taylors are basically issued at the door, so I had to wear them.

It’s kind of weird that a place like Plum sells skull sweaters, but these are so cute they just fit right in. This was the first time I wore it out and I got so many compliments on it. Definitely a must have!

Day 315-1

Remembrance Day and Birth Day

Today is the day we remember all those who fought in the war and died for our freedom. Remembrance day is an important day in our house hold. Must have something to do with all the war movies we watch. We’ve started a tradition of going down to Confederation Park with my Dad to watch the Remembrance Day Ceremony. It is hard to imagine what all those Men & Women had to face all those years ago.

Aside from it being Remembrance Day it is also Darios Birthday. This evening we partook in a tradition of eating Polenta & Salami with some Castagne (roasted chestnuts) for dessert.

Since part of today was spent out doors, and everything about today really was on the cold side of things, dressing warmly was key. I busted out my Olympic sweater, which I have not worn since the Olympics. It is the coziest thing on a cold day like today. A simple white T underneath and my yoa jeans helped keep me warm. Boots were also essential for today’s cold weather journey.

Pat stuck the Oilers hat on me.

Simple but warm!

The Day The Rain Stopped

If only for an afternoon!

We visited with friends this afternoon, which meant I actually had to get dressed and couldn’t just wonder around the house in sweat pants. Damn!

With all the darkness in the weather and now early nights (damn time change!) I felt like brightening life up a bit. I chose my 3/4 sleeve fuchsia Kersh sweater and based my outfit around it.

My White Tank + Grey Esprit T + Mavi Denim Legging + Black Boots + Multicoloured Scarf

A simple enough work, but enough layering and colours to make a dreary Sunday a little bit better!

Day 310-1

Thank You Michael

We spent a quiet night in Surrey. Out to Dublin Crossing to watch the Hockey game on a TV that was barely visible. That was interesting. Post game we went over to the Tyrrells to watch all the highlights since we clearly missed half of the game. The night, of course, didn’t end with out traditional Cheese Burgers.

Tonights outfit is brought to you by ‘I Love Comfy Sweaters’. Thank God someone started the company Kersh and supplied the world with the best sweaters known to man. This over sized, extra comfy, v-neck sweater did me right. Not only did I feel comfortable, but I also looked (somewhat) fashionable. It was so easy to throw on over some denim leggings and a pair of wedges. A great balance of looking good and feeling good.

I kept thinks fairly simple and just wore a cami under the sweater, mainly for warmth. I like that my neckline wasn’t obstructed by a layering piece (how very unlike me!).

I also love Mike in the corner trying to ruin my picture.

Candy Time!

It’s my Mommas birthday today. She was born on all hallows eve some years ago, so we spent the evening at her house, making dinner and handing out candy to the kids. We were pretty popped from last nights dinner, so we spent the day quietly before heading over to Mothers.

Chad and I didn’t dress us this year. Dressing Chad up is like pulling teeth, so I don’t even bother any more, plus it’s just easier then stressing out about costumes.

Todays ‘costume’ is made up of a basic White T, my very drapy Kersh striped sweater, a pair of Dish jeans, and grey flats. Very grey and blue. I love it!

And no, I didn’t eat all the candy!

Day 296-1
Day 296-2

I Don’t Listen to Myself

What is my biggest pet peeve? Oh yea, wearing Black and Brown together. Humm…well, what I have done here? Oh yea, I’ve combined a lot of black and brown together.

I am throwing out that rule when it comes to leathers (or faux leathers which is the case for me).

I am obsessed with all of my leather pieces, so it made sense to me that no matter what the colour of the leather, I should probably just combined all of it. Yes, that does sound like a wonderful plan, doesn’t it?

It’s ok, remmeber what I said to myself when I got back from Italy? Have fun with fashion, just don’t worry about it.

So, today’s outfit consists of the black cowl neck top I got in Italy, paired with my navy Denim Leggings, very alla Italy. I just had to wear my black faux leather jacket on top. I then really felt like matching my purse to my boots, so I went for the brown leather boots from Target and brown leather fringe purse from Miele Bianco @ Plum.

I know its a bit weird and out there and only kind of makes sense, but I kind of love it.

All the rules are out the window for this outfit!
