Come Heather

This week is starting out on a stressful note, which is not very exciting. I am going to predict that the stress is going to rise and the outfits are going to get crappy. Just a prediction.

We are getting close to D-Day and that just brings about a whole other ball of stress.

AHHH

I’ve been wanting to wear this V-Neck Cardi from Kersh for a while now. It’s been on my mind, but too warm to wear it. It’s funny how you get certain things stuck in your head and you just have to wear them no matter what.

A simple white tank top under the elusive Kersh pull over sweater. Mavi Boyfriend Jeans, Birkenstocks, and some brightly coloured wooden beads from Plum. I love that necklace. Such a great pop of colour!

Tomorrow they call for great amounts of rain. Lets see what happenes.

Blue Me, Blue You

Today is Wednesday. That kind of feels weird for some reason.

We went shopping tonight. I wanted to buy new flip flops because the ones I’m wearing are death traps. If there is a little bit of water on the ground I will slip and kill myself. Happened at Ryan & Elise’s wedding. I know it’s not very smart to look for new flip flops at the end of the season, but I’m not very smart in general. Old Navy was sold out of everything except Neon Pink & Orange, and size 10s. Thanks, but that doesn’t work for me. Chad was with me so I didn’t want to drag him all over the mall so I just gave up.

Next Summer – MUST FIND FLIP FLOPS.

I feel like I have already worn this exact same outfit. I guess it wouldn’t take too much effort to just go back and check, but I’m really that lazy/busy.

I just love this striped Kersh sweater so much. Le sigh, it’s dreamy and soft.

Mavi Boyfriend Jeans and an Esprit top all from Plum cause I don’t actually shop anywhere else it seems. You just can’t be a one stop shop.

I need to rid myself of these flip flops of death.

I got to parade around all day in my PJs since we had no plans for this holiday Monday. I would have been better off taking a photo of that!

After dinner Chad and I decided to pop over to the movie theater to see Inception. The weather was kind of all over the place and I had no idea what to wear, so I thought this would be a good idea. Not so much.

The tank top I got back in the day when I worked at Bootlegger and I’ve been holding on to it ever since. Not really sure why since I never wear tank tops like this. I think its the colour that still gets me. It was at the height of my Army Colours obsession. I still love army colours, I just don’t wear them as often. Anyways, this tank top is definitely no longer my favorite.

Mavi Boyfriend Jeans, Plum Belt, and Kersh Sweater were thrown into the mix.

Perhaps I would feel differently about this outfit if my hair wasn’t a giant bush of grossness. It was all curly and cute today and clearly died right before these pictures were taken.

Today was not a day for great outfits.

Summer Time Black

No warehouse today. Told you! Well, tomorrow is the last day it can possibly happen, so at least I know that much. Work is just too busy crazy to spend any time out in the warehouse. That’s my excuse anways. Ha. I hate inventory. I don’t know anyone who actually likes it.

I re-fell in love with my Mavi boyfriend jeans today. How so you ask? Well, I did the very simple thing of rolling up the hem one more time. I KNOW! I thought it would be too bulky, since they are quite long on me and already rolled up a number of times, but it worked, and it looks so much better on my stumpy legs. I should have attempted this long ago.

The other thing I re-fell in love with today is tucking in shirts. I know its been a thing for a while now, but I really, really love it; especially if you have a cool belt to show off.

My black knit T is from Plum, last spring. Its very light and airy which I love on hot summer days. Even though it is black, which is not very ‘SUMMER’ of me, its so comfortable to wear. Since it is a little blousy, I lightly tucked it in at the front to show off my teal YSL belt.

A simple silver necklace and some fun flats and this ‘warehouse’ look ends up being somewhat fashionable!

Hello Disaster

Can you tell that its the day after a wedding and I am a walking disaster? Cause I can!

Probably should have planned to do NOTHING today, but alas, family dinners and birthdays call and so here we are.

I am exhuasted and totally need some freshening up!

The Wooden Stance

Well, the wind is gone, and the Sun is fighting to get the heat back up. Frankly, I welcome the bright sun with cooler temperatures!

Don’t really know what to say about today. I worked like a mad man to organize my jewellery drawer. Slowly but surely it starts to take up more and more room. It’s surprising how much stuff I have!

I kind of blanked out this morning and just went to my closet grabbing comfortable things.

Mavi Boyfriend Jeans, Plum Stripped Knit Top, Forever 21 beaded necklace, Forever 21 nude sandals.

My toes look all weird to me since I took off my nail polish and am wearing nude coloured sandals. It’s like there is nothing on my feet!

I can’t wait to get a mani and pedi on Friday! So in need of some Hand and Feet TLC.

My Boyfriends In Town

My Boyfriend Jeans that is! Today was a much better day at work, and everything went along smoothly, which makes me happy.

This outfit is pretty cute in my books, I just don’t like all the bulk around my hips. The thickness of the BF jeans and the length and flow of the tank just don’t blend well.

Ah well, we live and learn.

I took my Kersh A-Symmetrical tank and layered it with a ribbed tank. I paired it with a cropped sweater from Off the Wall, and my BF jeans of course. I also opted to wear my Birkenstocks. Woohoo! I love those shoes.

I also wore my purple jewelled cocktail ring that matched oh so nicely with my purple sweater.

I heart the elements of this outfit, I just wished they all went together better.

The Leopard Queen

It’s a Golden Monday today!

 Italy played it’s first game of the World Cup and even though we didn’t win, we didn’t loose so that was good. Plus, Italians are slow starters. True Story.

I was going to dress up in the “Azzuri” colours, but I had an outfit picked out before I realized what day it was. Yes, you can blame my lack of colour support for the tie. Although, I am wearing Gold, which is very Italian of me.

I decided to wear gold because I chose to wear one of my favorite summer tanks tops, one that I  bought on the beach in Australia. Nothing too fancy about it, just some yellow leopard prints which are hard to see in the photos. It use to be a little big for me so I always layered it with another tank top. Now, it fits better, but I still like to layer it. You know me and my layers.

Boyfriend jeans worked out well today. It was hot in the office but a little bit cooler outside. The oatmeal sweater was also essential once the sun started to go down.

Going with the gold I wore my golden sparkle strawberry and some over sized gold hoop wearrings. I should probably get some real gold hoop earrings when I go to Italy considering I’ve lost every pair I’ve ever had.

A simple yellow hair pin tied it all in today.

I’m Pine, How Are You?

We had dinner at my Parents tonight. Chad had to fix my Dads computer which is located in my old bedroom so I spent a chunk reliving old memories. It was weird.

I also began to realize how much PINE is in my room. Scratch that, the whole HOUSE. My Parents are Pine addicts. But it’s OK because all the Pine acted as an interesting background for me.

I’ve worn this striped sweater / boyfriend jean combination before, but in a different way. Today I decided to wear it with a couple Kersh tank tops layered and a long necklace, the one I got from Plum not too long ago. It went so well with the sweater as the shell like beads were both blue and silver. It’s like they were made for each other.

I know I have no shoes in the pictrue, but I was wearing my little target sandles in black. I need to find something in navy and sSilver though, because I have a lot of navy/blue pieces and it bugs me to wear black with them. That will be my next Target look out purchase.

For now, I feel like I need to go hug a tree or something.

Saturday Slacker

Dinner with ol’high school friends is on the menu tonight. I haven’t seen them since my wedding. Lives get busy and stuff happens and then you realize it’s almost been 2 years since you’ve seen 3 of your favorite people.

A casual home made Lasagna dinner where more friends joined in and it turned into a cozy little high school reunion. It’s nice when the good people haven’t changed at all.

I finally shrunk my boyfriend jeans in the dryer. They are still baggy, as they are suppose to be, but they fit so much better. I’m glad I did that. Now I actually WANT to wear them!

I layered a white tank top under a cute knit top from Esprit which fits really nicely.

A multi strand green beaded necklace from Anthro and my target sandals and I’m ready to stuff my face and hang out with old friends!
