Christmas Party Time!

We had our work Christmas party this evening. What does this mean? It means that we get to hang out in the beautiful home of our bosses, while drinking wine and fancy drinks, and stuffing our faces with the most amazing food known to man. The food, oh the food. I can not express to you just how much I love the fooood.

The outfit I had planned today did not actually pan out. The little black dress and Boyfriend jacket made me look like a sack of clothing. Not good as I really had not planned any sort of back up!

Scrambling 20 minutes before I had to leave, left me with two outfits I had already worn before. So, I figured I would squish them together to make something, relatively new.

Considering I work for a clothing company, it only made sense that I wear something from said clothing company that reflected Fall 2010. Only problem, most of it was too casual to wear to a Holiday party. Another reason why I had to repeat.

So, here goes…

Press Ruffled Tank Top
Plum Leopard Print Cardigan
Mavi Denim Leggings
Spring Boots

A simple diamond necklace, and my hair slicked back, and I was ready to go!

Wood Central

I just realized that the colours in this picture are all very similar. Didn’t realized I dressed to match my floors and cabinets!

I’ve been freezing my butt off at work so I’ve been trying to wear things that cover as much skin as possible. Only problem is these Denim Leggings are made of paper and let all your body heat out. Bastards!

This outfit is very similar to one I wore last week. Same basic scenario, just a different top.

Today I wore my brown Kersh pull over  for its fuzzy and warming effects. I decided to protect my neck with not one, but two scarves. I got the idea to twist them together to make a doubled, layered look. I think it looks pretty cool. Mavi Denim Leggings down below, with my brown, wood matching boots.

Kind of a simple look mixed up with different textures and patterns!

There is Nothing Like a Photo Shoot in the Bathroom!

Tonight I got together with two girls I haven’t seen in forever, Marlee & Krista. It was so fun getting together with them and stuffing our faces with Japanese food. God I love Japanese food!

Krista was very excited to be my photographer for the evening, and I was very excited to have her take my pictures!

Since it did snow last night, tonights concern was more warmth then fashion. My plan to wear a skirt for the first time in forever was thrown out the window. Though, I have to admit, denim leggings are way to thin to keep your legs warm!

I wondered around downtown in my striped T from H&M and my striped sweater from Kersh. STRIPE ALERT. The stripes on the T-shirt are so tiny that they don’t really compete with the sweater, which is a good thing.

My neck was freezing cold, so a grey knit scarf from Plum was essential. Black denim leggings as I mentioned and Faux Fryes. I tried playing it cool. Ha.

The only cool thing about this outfit is that I am in the bathroom. Bahaha!

Day 322-1

Hop Scotching

The boys (Chad & Ryan) took the girls (Elise & I) to Hop Scotch, otherwise known to us as Scotch Fest. Now, it is pointless in bringing us, and really a waste of $40, but they seem to enjoy our company. I guess you can’t really complain when your husband wants to include you in his manly adventures.

Because Scotch Fest is usually filled with a mix of people, I chose to dress and match the Classy folk, and not the Cougars or Scotch Sluts. Though, when I told Elise what I was wearing she called me Skanky. HA. Thanks Elise!

The Boyfriend Jacket seemed to be the theme amongst the Classy Girls so I’m glad I wore mine because I fit right in. It took me long enough to buy one, but I seem to be getting quite the usage out of it!

Under my jacket I wore the Press Ruffled Knit Tank that that I got at Plum, and paired it with my Black Denim Leggings. My new go to when it comes to pants, it seems.

Heels are essential when keeping it classy, so my black boots worked perfectly. Not to mention it was raining and snowing when we got there, so they kept me warm!

Scotch and Snow. Chad & my favorite things.

When It All Comes Together

I am obsessed with this outfit! Sometimes simple things come together in such a good way.

Even though its cold and I probably shouldn’t be wearing a tank top, the colour just screamed at me this morning and I had to put it on. I just love this colour. I layered it with a White tank top to ad some colour dimension and to keep me a tiny bit warm.

This leopard sweater from Plum was the perfect piece for today. It’s just so beautiful and stylish and I feel like someone important when I wear it. It is such a nice leopard print too, not something tacky.

I kept my lower half pretty simple. Black Denim Leggings and Black Steve Madden Boots – from Army & Navy!

A nice and easy silver necklace and my hair pinned back and I feel like a movie star.

Oh la la!

The Browns and the Blues

Another week, another Monday. All these weeks are blending together it seems. Work is getting insane. Blogging is getting behind. There are so many little projects going on that I am starting to loose my mind. Thinking about it all is worse then actually doing it all.

The weather is starting to change and things are starting to get COLD. Scarves are probably going to be a must this week.

This knit top I bought in Italy in one of the little markets. It came with a rather cheaply made matching scarf. Cheaply made in that it was a strip of the same fabric with some hand cut fringe at the end. CHEAP! Ha. I traded that scarf in for one my Mom bought me in Alaska. Brown and Blue always look so good together.

I carried the colours down and wore my Navy Denim Leggings and brown faux leather boots.

I love the way the colours play with each other. Different shades of Blue and Brown all living together harmoniously!

The Basic White Shirt

Pat was picked up  last night. Tonight he is out with the boys and I am at home doing laundry! The life of a wife. The next four days are jam packed with events and I fear I am die from them. Ok, not really, but I may need a week to recuperate.

I stole this look from Claudia at work. The idea is the same, but the elements I chose are a little different.

I usually wear my boyfriend blouse with the sleeves rolled up, but in this chilly weather, that doesn’t really work. So, I rolled them down, threw on my favorite stripped Kersh sweater and cuffed the cuffs. Haha, cuffed the cuffs.

I paired my blouse & sweater combo with my charcoal denim leggings. The only denim leggings I currently own that aren’t totally destroyed!

Black boots and a shell necklace that picks up on the colours and tones of the outfit ended up matching perfectly! Yay for random morning finds!

The elements of this outfit are really simple, but I love how they all worked together.

I love punches of white in a dark outfit!

Hello Love

I loved this outfit, but I am not a huge fan of how big this tank top makes me look. It’s funny how certain prints can play games with your eyes and make you look bigger then you really are. A little bit of print is a good thing, too much, is clearly a bad thing.

I haven’t worn my Chanel Sweater since Italy. When you wear it that many days in a row, it’s easy to get sick of it. Today, however, I knew it would go with this outfit and I just had to wear it.

I was really excited when I found this printed tank from The Garage. It was so cheap and I knew it would work out as the perfect layering piece. The cold winds are coming, but until they show up, it’s tank tops and sweaters for me. It’s a nice change from always wearing T-shirts and such.

The elements of this outfit are pretty simple. Printed Tank, Chanel Inspired Sweater, Black Denim Leggings, and Black boots. Together, however, they make a somewhat elegant look. Well, as elegant as you can get wearing a bunch of knits.

I just love the way it looks and how it all works together, minus the print making me look ten times bigger then I am :S

The Day The Rain Stopped

If only for an afternoon!

We visited with friends this afternoon, which meant I actually had to get dressed and couldn’t just wonder around the house in sweat pants. Damn!

With all the darkness in the weather and now early nights (damn time change!) I felt like brightening life up a bit. I chose my 3/4 sleeve fuchsia Kersh sweater and based my outfit around it.

My White Tank + Grey Esprit T + Mavi Denim Legging + Black Boots + Multicoloured Scarf

A simple enough work, but enough layering and colours to make a dreary Sunday a little bit better!

Day 310-1

Thank You Michael

We spent a quiet night in Surrey. Out to Dublin Crossing to watch the Hockey game on a TV that was barely visible. That was interesting. Post game we went over to the Tyrrells to watch all the highlights since we clearly missed half of the game. The night, of course, didn’t end with out traditional Cheese Burgers.

Tonights outfit is brought to you by ‘I Love Comfy Sweaters’. Thank God someone started the company Kersh and supplied the world with the best sweaters known to man. This over sized, extra comfy, v-neck sweater did me right. Not only did I feel comfortable, but I also looked (somewhat) fashionable. It was so easy to throw on over some denim leggings and a pair of wedges. A great balance of looking good and feeling good.

I kept thinks fairly simple and just wore a cami under the sweater, mainly for warmth. I like that my neckline wasn’t obstructed by a layering piece (how very unlike me!).

I also love Mike in the corner trying to ruin my picture.
