Me And My Straight Leg

I am so happy I found these jeans on sale! Such a fluke too as I didn’t even know the stores had sent back all their unsold sale merch. Score one for me!

In the time of skinny jeans, which they do were perfectly with boots, and I will continue to wear them, I so enjoy these straight leg jeans from Dish just that much more. Wear them long or cuffed up and rolled, I just heart them.

It wasn’t very toasty out today, so it worked out perfectly that I could wear my new jeans to work with my little black sneakers that I haven’t worn in a while.

I decided to go light and airy today and chose one of my favourite Trinity blouses. The only thing that bugs me about this one is the elastic at the bottom ends up riding up to my waist so I contently have to adjust it. But most tops that have an elastic hem seem to do that on me. Kind of annoying.  The great thing about this blouse is its one of those ‘dress up, dress down’ kind of pieces so you can wear it many different ways.

My hair also seemed to be co-operating today which was greatly appreciated!

Canada Day in Blue

I really don’t know where I was going with this outfit. I’m clearly really bad a dressing up for occasions, given that I’m not wearing a single thing of RED.

This outfit also confuses me. It confused me while I was wearing it, but it didn’t seem to bother me. Now it does.

I also wore this to the In-Laws. I’m 99% sure it confused them as well.

At least I can use the excuse that I am just a wacky fashion chick. I’m in Fashion, it doesn’t have to make sense. That’s what I keep telling myself.

Blue Ribbed Tank from Plum. So love love love the colour.
Navy & Cream Striped Sweater from Hollister
Charcoal Denim Leggings from Mavi
Sneakers from Army & Navy
Birdcage Necklace from Shazzi

I also just realized I look like a sausage.

The Birdcage

Well, Shazzi made some necklaces and when I saw them I just had to have one. This one was specially made for me with peacock coloured beads and a little sliver feather inside the cage. Call me in LOVE.

You know my obsession with long chains and large charms, well this one has definitely moved up to top spot!

I wanted this necklace to be the focal point so I built my outfit around it.

I know, I know, I wore this sweater on Wednesday, but it just went, so I had to!

Denim Shorts
Polk-a-dot Tights

I even wore a little turquoise flower pin in my hair to match the colours in the beads.

Definitely fun for a Friday!

Back to the Grind

It’s Monday, not wait it’s Tuesday, no wait…I’m confused.

All day long I couldn’t figure out what day it was. Long weekends do that you me it seems, but never this  bad. I must have been really out of it today.

I made Tacos for dinner and they were really good. I really love Tacos you know. I could eat them all the time.

I decided to wear a suit jacket today. It’s felt like a long time since I last wore it. It’s so cute but I always kind of feel awkward wearing it. Maybe that’s just because I am awkward in general. I guess it didn’t help that my A-line t-shirt paired with the cut of this jacket made my hips look massive (I deleted all proof). I was excited to wear my ‘Amalfi Coast’ scarf however. I was going to save it until Italy, but then I realized how stupid that was and so I finally wore it. I did the same thing when I went to Mexico. I bought things in May for my trip in September and didn’t want to wear any of it until the actual trip came.

I’m such a nut bar.

I rolled up my Royal leggings. It’s the only way to wear them with these sneakers. You have to have the right amount of skin showing between your hem and your shoe otherwise it looks weird. Or at least I think it does anyways.

Also please note that I am wearing a dangly earring. I know, I know. These ones and my silver hoops are the only ones I actually think look good on me.

Ok, I truly am a nut bar.

…yumm…nut bar…

Sittin on Me Deck!

The pansies are growing nicely. I will have to re-pot them next week to make room for the new flowers Chads Mom is getting me for my Birthday. I’m super excited about them! I get my green thumb from my Nonna. So far, things are going much better this time around with all my little plants. They make me happy :)

My suit case is still packed and I haven’t touched it yet. Probably won’t be able to unpack till later this week. There is just no time!

I wanted to stay comfy today, as I do on most days. I really like the way this outfit turned out.

Mavi Serena Denim Leggings in Navy simply paired with the striped T-shirt I got from the Garage, topped off with a beautiful two-toned scarf my Mom got for me in Alaska. It drapes so nicely!

I threw on a little head band and my sneakers to match my rolled up jeans. It kind of gave the outfit a litle bit of a 50s – 60s look which I love.

I wish I could sit by my pansies and relax every day.

Still 24

It’s my last day as a 24 year old. Thankfully, I’m not scared about getting old. It works out well since I’m faced with getting older ever year ;)

It’s funny how things always seem rushed and stressed when you attempt to get a way for a few days. Maybe that’s just because I have to have everything perfect before I leave so that when I arrive home, everything continues to be perfect. I’m crazy like that.

Running around today in my Yoga Jeans and plaid “cow boy” shirt from Aritzia. I layered it with a long white t-shirt and decided to do something a little different and belt it. Had the white t-shirt been a little long, then I might not look like such an umpa lumpa in these photos! Ha. I’m so harsh on myself sometimes.

The belt is made out of snake skin and is a dark wine colour. It’s part of the “Matt purchased this for me from Value Village” collection.

As for shoes, I’ve got my Army & Navy sneaker special on. I’ve been wearing these too much!

And, even though it’s hard to tell, I’ve got my new wire cuff, cuffed around my wrist. I really love it because it’s so light but so fun.

Tomorrow, I’m a whole year older!

The Rain Won’t Stop Me

WooHoo Weekend! Not that there is anything really special planned this weekend, but even still, I’m just excited to have a few days to myself. I’ve had to work over time this week to catch up on all the time I missed due to my many Doctors appointments, so I am looking forward to things getting back to normal this weekend.

This whole ‘April Showers’ business needs to hurry up and end. It’s not fun when it rains all the time, and my newly planted flowers just continue to get soaked. I really wish the sun would come out.

Alicia and I opted for an out door photo shoot even though tha weather wasn’t co-operating.

I wore the pink floral blouse I wore on Valentines day under my grey suit jacket. Both items were purchased at Plum.

I decided to go a bit more ‘street’ then ‘class’ and wore my denim leggings and sneakers. I think it gives a funky look. I also loved that I popped my collar.  Haha!

The umbrella is an Olympic one so its got all the mascots on the side. It’s the cutest thing ever.

I just wish I had a chunky necklace that went with this outfit.

The Day of Death

Holy Smokes, was I sick today. My second dose of thyroid shots, which have the side effect of nausea, took full side effect on me. It didn’t hit me right away, but it came on fast and furious after lunch. Its been a while since Ive been that sick, stomach wise.

I should have taken a picture this morning, because once the nausea came on, I wasn’t able to stand for 5 minutes together. Its too bad too, cause I really liked todays outfit.

I’m a Little Girl Again

When Alicia and I went shopping yesterday, we stopped by Army &  Navy to see if they had anything interesting in stock. As sketchy as Army & Navy can be, every now and then you can find something really cool. I ended up snatching these sneakers for $7! I was pretty excited with them.

I wore them out on Sunday as I had a bit of running around to do. Chad was having the boys over to watch Tiger play golf, so I ran over to Costco (which is like having a death wish on a Sunday) to get some fresh pizza and chips. Well, it was a nut house in there and it took me an hour and 3 staff members help before I found the damn pizza. I was not impressed!

Putting together this casual Sunday run-around outfit, made me realize that my Peacock t-shirt needs to be officially retired. It has this weird over all grey look to it now, and even though it is NOT dirty, it just really looks dirty. I think it’s becoming a PJ top tonight. No more going out in this puppy.

Wearing my Charcoal denim leggings rolled up at the bottom with my new sneakers is probably going to be my new favorite thing to do. The only negative is, on a cold day, that inch of ankle that is exposed ends up FREEZING! Hahah sad, but true.

Long Black Kersh Boyfriend sweater and my wire heart, which you can’t see.

Chad kept trying to stick his cast in all the shots.
