CHRISTMAS EVE!

Well, I’ve made it to Christmas Eve. That is always a good sign!

Chad and I did a bit of running around today and then headed off to Church for Midnight  Mass. No fancy dinner or parties tonight, just quite times.

Can you see all the presents packed up and ready to take to Chads parents house tomorrow morning? We are so prepared!

My outfit for this evening didn’t happen, so what you are looking at is outfit number 2. Remember when I talked about all my Plum skirts being too long, and I had to hem a bunch in the Summer? Well, I left the pencil skirts thinking they would be ok, but the truth is, they are not ok. I’m going to need to hem those too :S

So, my Christmas Eve outfit consist of a Purple Tank Top for Bootlegger, Leopard Sweater from Plum, Stripped Pencil Skirt from Plum, Leggings, and Black heels from Aldo.

The silver belt and small silver necklace are also Plum purchases.

I want to open presents now!

Its Time For Christmas Balls!

Our annual Christmas Party is tonight. The house is fully decorated and everything is ready! I love having all the Christmas stuff out. The lights make everything look so much more cozy.

This outfit is kind of a repeat (ok it IS a repeat) but there is a legitamate reason for it, other then the fact that I  just wanted to wear it again. Since tonight is technically a night in, I wanted to FINALLY bust out a pair of knitted Dex leggings I bought at Christmas last year. They are so warm and cozy and I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to wear them. Only problem is I don’t own many tops that cover my butt. Thankfully, The Garage makes extra long Ts and so this tank top worked perfectly. Topped off with my Dex Chanel inspired sweater and I had the perfect Holiday outfit!

Now, I clearly need to invest in more long tops, especially since I have more fun leggings waiting for me on my rack at work. Leggings are not PANTS, remember, so wearing a top that does not cover your front junk and your back junk is NOT allowed! Haha.

Thankfully, I am all covered tonight!

Oh No You Didn’t

Today is a perfect example of those days where you looked good leaving the house, but don’t look so good coming home. Tip for anyone who ever decided to take on a project like this, take your photos in the morning right after you get ready and you will look your best! DO NOT wait until 6pm on a Friday and think you will look just as refreshed and glowing as you did in the morning.

Fridays have been a disaster at work the last little while. You would expect them to be relaxing, but no.

Also, my hair looks like a greasy rats nest in these photos. FAIL.

But anyways, lets talk about my outfit.

Boyfriend Blouse + Boyfriend Cardigan = New Favorite Layered Look. Chad actually thought I was wearing one of his shirts when I got dressed this morning. Priceless.

I layered this look with a long white T because that is my signature, and this outfit was looking a little too dark for my liking. Yoga Jeans and black boots covered my lower half, and a trinket filled necklace covered my neck scar. I was clearly a little too inspired by yesterdays jewellery selection and went over bored today. See, I am so all about less instead of more. I feel over done just because I wore a necklace with this outfit. Crazy, I know.

Prancing around in this was fun today.

Christmas Party Time!

We had our work Christmas party this evening. What does this mean? It means that we get to hang out in the beautiful home of our bosses, while drinking wine and fancy drinks, and stuffing our faces with the most amazing food known to man. The food, oh the food. I can not express to you just how much I love the fooood.

The outfit I had planned today did not actually pan out. The little black dress and Boyfriend jacket made me look like a sack of clothing. Not good as I really had not planned any sort of back up!

Scrambling 20 minutes before I had to leave, left me with two outfits I had already worn before. So, I figured I would squish them together to make something, relatively new.

Considering I work for a clothing company, it only made sense that I wear something from said clothing company that reflected Fall 2010. Only problem, most of it was too casual to wear to a Holiday party. Another reason why I had to repeat.

So, here goes…

Press Ruffled Tank Top
Plum Leopard Print Cardigan
Mavi Denim Leggings
Spring Boots

A simple diamond necklace, and my hair slicked back, and I was ready to go!

A Table for Two

In sticking with the disaster theme, lets talk about how ghetto these photos are and how I look like I need help in both of them. Danielle you FAIL.

I had to plan an outfit that would work in two different establishments. 1) Fancy enough for dinner at the Pear Tree 2) Casual enough for Alicias Birthday Party at Academic. I think I succeeded.

Though you can’t really see, I wore two tank tops layered over each other, blousing one out, so I could have it partially tucked in as to make the belt visible. I then layered it with a Royal coloured Kersh Sweater I purchased from Plum many years ago. To  the restaurant I wore a simple black and white heart scarf to class up my neck area.

I wanted to stay away from skinny jeans and boots this time around, so I went for my Dish Wide Leg Jeans and some black heels (which you clearly can not see).

I think it all looked quite cute together, but you can’t tell because I am making a horrible face.

I love the contrast of the belt to the blue in the jeans and sweater. Favorite!

Next time, I promise to take better photos.

Day 322-1

Hop Scotching

The boys (Chad & Ryan) took the girls (Elise & I) to Hop Scotch, otherwise known to us as Scotch Fest. Now, it is pointless in bringing us, and really a waste of $40, but they seem to enjoy our company. I guess you can’t really complain when your husband wants to include you in his manly adventures.

Because Scotch Fest is usually filled with a mix of people, I chose to dress and match the Classy folk, and not the Cougars or Scotch Sluts. Though, when I told Elise what I was wearing she called me Skanky. HA. Thanks Elise!

The Boyfriend Jacket seemed to be the theme amongst the Classy Girls so I’m glad I wore mine because I fit right in. It took me long enough to buy one, but I seem to be getting quite the usage out of it!

Under my jacket I wore the Press Ruffled Knit Tank that that I got at Plum, and paired it with my Black Denim Leggings. My new go to when it comes to pants, it seems.

Heels are essential when keeping it classy, so my black boots worked perfectly. Not to mention it was raining and snowing when we got there, so they kept me warm!

Scotch and Snow. Chad & my favorite things.

When It All Comes Together

I am obsessed with this outfit! Sometimes simple things come together in such a good way.

Even though its cold and I probably shouldn’t be wearing a tank top, the colour just screamed at me this morning and I had to put it on. I just love this colour. I layered it with a White tank top to ad some colour dimension and to keep me a tiny bit warm.

This leopard sweater from Plum was the perfect piece for today. It’s just so beautiful and stylish and I feel like someone important when I wear it. It is such a nice leopard print too, not something tacky.

I kept my lower half pretty simple. Black Denim Leggings and Black Steve Madden Boots – from Army & Navy!

A nice and easy silver necklace and my hair pinned back and I feel like a movie star.

Oh la la!

Hello Love

I loved this outfit, but I am not a huge fan of how big this tank top makes me look. It’s funny how certain prints can play games with your eyes and make you look bigger then you really are. A little bit of print is a good thing, too much, is clearly a bad thing.

I haven’t worn my Chanel Sweater since Italy. When you wear it that many days in a row, it’s easy to get sick of it. Today, however, I knew it would go with this outfit and I just had to wear it.

I was really excited when I found this printed tank from The Garage. It was so cheap and I knew it would work out as the perfect layering piece. The cold winds are coming, but until they show up, it’s tank tops and sweaters for me. It’s a nice change from always wearing T-shirts and such.

The elements of this outfit are pretty simple. Printed Tank, Chanel Inspired Sweater, Black Denim Leggings, and Black boots. Together, however, they make a somewhat elegant look. Well, as elegant as you can get wearing a bunch of knits.

I just love the way it looks and how it all works together, minus the print making me look ten times bigger then I am :S

Milan, HEY OOO

We took a train to Milan, Bitches! That is right, I am ‘in the fashion captial of the world and dressed like a Hobo’. Thanks Chad, love you too.

It is true though. I was not excpeting it to be this cold, and we only brought a backpack each with us, so there clearly wasn’t any room for options. Somewhat sick + freezing cold = Total Disaster!!!

White Plum Tank
Black Faux Leather Jacket – Again, from some random store in the Italian Mall

At least everyone around me looked good.
