Day 310

Day 310-1

Thank You Michael

We spent a quiet night in Surrey. Out to Dublin Crossing to watch the Hockey game on a TV that was barely visible. That was interesting. Post game we went over to the Tyrrells to watch all the highlights since we clearly missed half of the game. The night, of course, didn’t end with out traditional Cheese Burgers.

Tonights outfit is brought to you by ‘I Love Comfy Sweaters’. Thank God someone started the company Kersh and supplied the world with the best sweaters known to man. This over sized, extra comfy, v-neck sweater did me right. Not only did I feel comfortable, but I also looked (somewhat) fashionable. It was so easy to throw on over some denim leggings and a pair of wedges. A great balance of looking good and feeling good.

I kept thinks fairly simple and just wore a cami under the sweater, mainly for warmth. I like that my neckline wasn’t obstructed by a layering piece (how very unlike me!).

I also love Mike in the corner trying to ruin my picture.

Day THREE HUNDRED

You mean, I only have 65 more days to go!? Woot Woot!

In celebrating of my 300th day, I didn’t wear flat shoes to work. Hahaha! So lame, I know!

To be honest, I didn’t even realize today was day 300, but it is, so let us celebrate!

This whole outfit consists of old pieces, remixed to make something new, with a new pair of shoes.

The White tank top is from Plum, and acts as a great layering piece under my stripped shear Chocolate Plum T. One of my favorite knit tops I have from Plum. I love the texture in the fabric and the cut of the neckline. I paired this with my Navy Denim Leggings from Mavi, and then threw on a teal sweater from Kersh. The mixture of Teal & Chocolate always makes me happy!

A simple silver necklace kept my neckline open but eye catching.

As for my shoes, I got these babies on sale from Spring! I love the colour, I love that they are a wedge, and I love the little stud details.

Happy 300th Day of the Year!

What A Night.

Well, thank God I took these pictures at my Moms house before we left, because half way home and the car died. That is right, DEAD. We ended up having to wait out in the cold for over an hour. Le sigh. This is not good.

I am now exhausted and super stressed. WOOT WOOT!

I guess the only good thing is that the dealership is handling it all, with little worry on my part, but this is just such bad timing.

However, before the night turned into a disaster, I was pretty excited about my outfit.

A couple of white tank tops, layered over each other, with a bright fuchsia Kersh cardi. Motorcycle jeans by dish – my one true love – and some black wedges, topped off with a sea foam green beaded necklace from Anthropologie. A great contrast of colour and style

At least I looked good on the side of the street as I waited for BCAA!

Little Blouse on the Prairies

I dressed up today. I know! What could be the special occasion!? Well, my parents were suppose to have some people from work over for dinner, I didn’t want to look like my usual lazy self, so I opted for something a bit nicer. The guests ended up not being able to come, so it was just the four of us, but I still enjoyed being a little ‘fancy’.

Today ensemble is something I’ve wore before. I’ve actually only ever worn this blouse once and I wore it with the same fuchsia belt. This time I wore the belt at my waist, where as last time I wore it at my empire waist.

My Mavi Denim Leggings are the same, though a different colour then last time, and today I have an old pair of wedges that I bought the last time I went to Italy. They don’t really fit me, and they kind of look goofy and cute at the same time, but for some reason I can’t part with them. I don’t wear them often, but I guess that fast that I bought them in Italy makes me feel like I need to keep them forever.

I also kind of like the way my hair is parted and out of my face. I swear my bangs have stopped growing or are one some sort of hiatus. Grow already!

A 50th Anniversary

Well, today calls for some celebrating and fancy outfits. My grandparents (Nonno & Nonna) are celebrating their 50th Wedding anniversary!

The fam went out for an amazing dinner at Darios La Piazza in Vancouver at the Italian Center. We’ve known the family that owns and runs the restaurant forever, and every time we go there we are blown away with how good the food was. I can’t stop thinking about my dinner!

I decided on one of my favorite ‘fancy’ summer dresses from Kensie. The print is adroable and there beads and crystals sewen around the top of the dress.

I paired it with a brightly coloured fuchsia sweater from Kersh, since it was a bit cool out. The pop of colour works well with the dress.

As for shoes, I wore a pair of white sling back wedges that I bought at Payless last year. They are a bit of a pain when you wear them all day long, but for an evening they are perfect!

I quite like this look on me!

White Girl in a White Dress

I probably shouldn’t wear a giant white dress when I have spent zero days in the sun and am just as white as paper. Sometimes I forget just how pale I am until I stand next to someone who has sat in the sun for hours. Yea, I may look ridiculous in the middle of summer, but at least I won’t be wrinkled and full of skin cancer when I get older!

This dress I bought at Plum a couple years ago when I need dresses for bridal showers and wedding parties. I felt it fitting that I have a white dress to wear other then my wedding dress.

This one is beautiful. It buttons up the back and has a self tie at the empire waist, which you can switch out of any kind of skinny belt. It’s a bit long on me, but I don’t want to hem it and ruin the beautiful embroidery.

I wore this dress with a green beaded necklace from Anthropologie and some ‘old’ green wedges from Payless.

It is such a beautiful summer dress, I just feel so WHITE in it!

A Long Day

Today felt like a really long day. Probably had to do with all the driving we did going to pick up my apparently fixed, but probably not, car. Then we had to stop and get food for dinner. Then we finally got home. It felt like forever!

I actually got the Husband to BBQ me some salmon, which was a first, since he doesn’t eat ‘things of the sea’. I have, however, converted him on the Prawn front.

Oh Tuesday, Tuesday.

I decided today I was going to wear my chocolate brown Linen skirt from Plum. This was one of the infamous “bought it too big and had to hem it” skirts from my collection. I love it though. It’s one of those things I wear to work and then everyone compliments me, and I’m like “but it’s from here!” and then they try and remember when they did it and talk about how they should do it again. So funny to me.

I paired this skirt with a white T from Esprit. The same one that has  a sheer Georgette yoke and sleeves. Super cute and different.

You can barely tell, but I am actually wearing wedges! I have a couple of great, super comfy wedges, but for whatever reason this season, I just haven’t worn them at all. I guess I’m just too obsessed with flats!

FL-WHORE-AL

Hahaha, oh Danielle!

Well I love this blouse. Score one for ME! There is a reason every time I go to Hollister I check out the sale section. Sometimes you find awesome pieces like this for 12 doll hairs!

One of our warehouse workers actually stopped me today and told me I looked very pretty. That has never happened before. Mostly because I dress like some half lazy man weirdo.

Matt took me out for my Birthday tonight, so I figured I should dress up to some extend. Too bad my hair has been ghetto all week long.

Hollister Blouse with a cami underneath.  Royal Denim Leggings with White Wedges from Payless. The wedges are super cute, but the little knot at the front cripples my toes and wearing them all day was a killer.

I really love this blouse!

I’m Not That Old

We spent the evening with my Parentals tonight. It’s their 27th Wedding Anniversary and they chose to spend it with us and some friends at a Pub fundraiser.  Well, I don’t know that they really chose it since I kinda said ‘Hey, we’re coming over for dinner’. But, it’s OK cause they like us!

I wasn’t really feeling this outfit today. Not really sure why, but meh, just not me.

I wore my wide leg Dish Jeans with some wedges which are really cute. Only problem is that the flare of the pant is so big it covers the wedges and you can’t tell I’m wearing shoes at all!

I pulled out an old Dex summery blouse from my closet. It’s really cute, but it just made me feel very preggers today. I should probably just save it for when I actually am.

I threw on a blue Kersh Ribbed Waist Cardigan in the morning cause it was still a bit chill out.

This week has been beautiful, weather wise. If it stays this way, I may be brave enough to pull out a dress or two.

Day 121

Day 121-1
Day 121-2

From the 60s in More Ways then One

Today was a fun and adventurous day.

I was asked to be in Marlees Graduation Hair Show, where I had to dress up as Hera, the Goddess of Marriage (how fitting, right!?) Marlee told me what kind of outfit she was envisioning and left it up to me and my creativity to put it together.

I went with a blousy white deep-v t-shirt from Plum. My favorite t-shirt ever. I felt it gave a soft and modern feel to the outfit. I then bought a white skirt from Value Village, chopped it up, sewed on a couple of layers of lace (including some from my very own wedding dress. Yes, I made my own wedding dress!). I loosely tucked in the t-shirt and added a tiny gold belt to add a little definition. I then layered a bunch of white and pink pearls (to match my hair) and threw on a pair of white wedges.

A modern day wedding outfit? Perhaps!

We were at the hair show pretty much all day, so this was what I pranced around in. For dinner we went out to the Lamplighter so I threw on a pair of Denim Leggings, but kept everything else the way it was.

My hair made quite the impression!
